The United Kingdoms Biggest football game.

Being welsh I REALLY want Wales to win, but I’d like England to win just to see a UK team in the world cup.

The way England played against Denmark was terrible, if they play like that Wales will win 3-1, But I can’t see that. If England play at their world best I see a 4-0 victory for them.

But my prediction is 3-2 either way, but Wales to score first

And what are your predictions

I'm not sure if this has been made already

Scotland vs. England is bigger ¬_¬

I can see Wales getting a draw but not much more. Even with Sven's tampering.

I prefer the Welsh. Less volatile :p ..that and Giggs > Any Scot IMO....besides, we always thrash you scotts :D

I'll say 3-1 to England. 2 from rooney, one from either of the wingers..and a late consolation from the Welsh after we have gone to sleep as usuall -__-;

3-2 England.

An early shock goal from the Welsh, wake us up. SWP to score before half time.

2 from Rooney in the second half before a late consolation from the Welsh.

I'm going for a closer tie with 2-1 to England

We'll take the lead through Lampard, and then Rooney will score in the second half. Wales will score a penalty late on and it will be a tense finale

2 hours till kick-off. Looking at the side's line up i say a 2-0 to Wales, on paper BUT if Wales pull their fingures outt of their arses we'll win 2-1 England to score first.

Does this really need its own thread?
2-0 England.

Also, I think ROI v England would be a much better game.

That's what I want to know also. I hate Sky. There should seriously be some kind of law to stop them poaching everything good (Lions tour, which admittedly wasn't that good, but would have liked to watch on BBC. Also this game, which despite occuring just 7 miles away from me, I can only listen to radio commentry)

Apparently the EU are actually going to rule what Sky are doing illegal for some reason or other... Also pissed about them taking the Ashes...

Dismal preformance.

Constantly just playing it around looking for openings, but losing it somewhere in between. Even when we found the openings, the balls where compleatly wrong. Rooneys been good, Beckhams been quite good and Robinson pulled of a blinding save. The rest have been average, barring the two Coles, who have been absolutly awfull. Both did one or two things well, but not enough to make up for constantly giving the ball away.

Why the fuck are we showing Wales so much respect? Most of them are Championship or lower league players...one of their center midfielders plays for freaking Bornemouth for gods sake. Theres no need to hit it long. Our players are meant to have bags more skill than this lot, and yet they're not using any of it. Rooneys constatly having to backtrack to clean up the midfielders mistakes...and why the hell are the two full-backs coming so far foward, especially Young? He have 5 men in midfield already. We don't need an extra two.

It's basically Denmark all over again, the only difference is that Wales lack the strength to push forward as well as Denmark, so they don't punish us like they did...but they have come bloody close a new times.

*Sigh* The second half needs a HUGE improvment, or we could easily lose or draw this game, which will signal the end of this tiresome campaign for first place, and give us a lovely qualifier. Oh joy.

I've found a better thing, using winamp. Register: http://www.streamtvnow.com/board/showthread.php?t=1389
The quality isn't good but it's good anyway, and it's not skipping.

That was a good goal to England, but that save we just did was super.

Edit: Earnshaw's on! Finally! I don't get why we never play him from the start, he is our most talented player but we're too protective. Hopefully now we'll win :)

Earnshaw? I thought it was Defoe...
edit: It is Defoe. Looks like we're going back to 442.
edit 2: Wow. That was a fuck awful game.

..Earnshaw is Welsh you spack.

A bad preformance, but in the end, at least we manged to get the result we needed. Rooney and Becks where the only ones that palyed. Not much else you can say.

It could have been better too.

Some of our plays where shocking...and not in a good way. One example of typicall england at the moment was Rooney in about the 60th..chased the ball around about 3 defenders, forced them to put a ball into knowhere, and our center three where just fucking standing still. He must get really pissed off when he puts in that much effort, and the rest of his team can't even be arsed to chase the ball up.

Makes me wonder what they actually DO in training.

Mellomeh

Ugh. When will John Toshack realise that Earnshaw is a vital part of the team that must be played at all times? He didn't have a chance to get into the game today, just like that awful Russia game a year ago.

I think Sven was watching the Ireland game and got confussed. He couldn't have been watching England..."But a bit of suffering in football is Ok if we have the right attitude and we had that today." ....No we fucking didn't! We where showing them far too much respect one minute, and letting them tear through our midfield line the next...and to cap it off, most of them stopped playing after we scored and just lazed around.

The guys a joke sometimes, he really is.

"It was a great save and the lads were full of thanks to Robbo at half-time"
David Beckham on Paul Robinson's save

Probably because, apart from Cole's goal, was the only action of any use...

Just got back from the pub. It was slightly boring, but I don't mind as I knew Wales would be largely defensive until we scored. Robinson once again proved why David James should never wear an England shirt ever again.

The only dissapointment to me is not being able to hear the national anthem sung due to what can only be described as screeching. I enjoy hearing the national anthem before a game and technically Wales has the same national anthem as us, so I was dissapointed.

Nuclear Spoon

I think our national anthem should be "Land of Hope and Glory" but meh...

Didn't see anything apart from the goal, so I can't comment on how we played, but judging by what's here, we played bad as 4-5-1, and welcome back Owen on Wednesday

jonffm

The national anthem things throughout the match was somewhat pathetic.

Whistling and making noices that sound like someone kicking a bag of cats during someones anthem, and all through the game is normal I guess, but whats the point? They outnumbered our fans by loads...why didn't they do waht most self-respecting majoritys of fans do and OUTSING us with their own chants and anthem? Are the Welsh that unoriginal that all they can think of as a jeer is to whistle?

It's all abit league 1....but then, considering half their players are around that level... :p
