Hurricanes

Does anyone else know how it feels to be very near a dangerous hurricane if so post here and say what hurricane.

I was in Florida when Katrina hit i was wathing the news every night and thankfully it missed Orlando Phew. :)

i was watching the national weather service channel, and they noted a tropical storm (one big step below hurricane, i believe) currently out at sea which at the time was moving in toward the east coast. chances are all it means is rain in the gulf coast area, but i'd imagine they're all on edge about anything more than a light drizzle.

actually, though, its trajectory is somewhat northward of that. in fact, they said that if it does reach land it would more likely do so over the northernmost states or atlantic canada.

...oh. and no, i have no hurricane experience. over here our only natural disaster threat is the inevitable rather-big earthquake that's already a few decades overdue.
