Allow me to dispense with the absurd text-based Japanese accent.
I was glancing over Sports and Bets earlier when I realised that there is not nearly enough absurdity. There are plenty of spaces to bet on mundane, uninteresting things such as football matches and roulette, but nowhere to bet on how many avocados a tortoise can eat before exploding (for example).
So I thought I'd jump in to the rescue. In here, we can stage elaborate and insane stunts and have people bet on them.
I'd like to say that, before we start, I will need a backer. If you take a glance at my current points, you will find them decidedly negligible and I refuse to take out a loan. I want someone with points to lend me a little and get a cut of the profits until paid back. Post here if you're interested.
Right. It's going to go like this. Whenever anyone is feeling insane, they can contact me with a handy bet. Then, people will bet on them. If you want to propose a bet, just PM me with the exact details.
Then the event will take place and the money shared out. Any profit we make will be split between myself and the person who carried off the stunt.
Of course, it would be rude of me to start something like this without being a living example, so first up:
How many keyboard keys can Sheepy fit in his mouth?
We have a number of spare keyboards in this house. Old and decrepit, they lie there, unsuspecting of the horror they are about to endure.
I have prised the keys off one of these beasts, and am going to try and fit them into my mouth. One by one I shall place them in there, until I can fit in no more.
For reference, my mouth is medium-large, the keys are smallish - about 1cmx2cmx2cm - and I will be using only the letters and numbers. Not the space bar. It'd just look silly.
I probably, alas, won't be able to supply pics. I will try, but it could be difficult. Be assured, however, I am actually going to do this.
You can place your bets here. Small bets at first, please, this is primarily for fun. No more than about 20 points at most, and I won't be accepting them until I have a suitable backer. Odds will be, unless otherwise stated, 2 to 1 - you will double your money if you win. This thread is intended more for fun than profit, I must stress.
