i mean, if the crazy frog can reach number 1 in the charts, theres a sure chance that if weebl released som of his songs onto a cd, it could reach a high position in the charts....am i on my own in thinking this or not ????

I'm thinking it''s possible, but not that likely.

Plus, the crazy frog that reached number 1 in the charts was the axelF version

heh,
"Peaches remixed by AxelF hits number one in the uk charts"

\o/
Weebl and AxelF....beautiful friendship.
Although i seem to remember a lot of hate from weebl in the crazy forg's direction at the time.

EDIT: i seem to have missunderstood the whole crazy frog thing. Aw well. Ignore me :D

It wouldn't be a good idea. Loads of people would be playing it on their mobiles all the time, leading me to the hatred of weebl and his creations. Plus, it would attract loads of irritating people to the forums.

Axel F is the name of the song.

Was it from beverly hills cop? I think it was/is...

isn't there some kind of law that would stop Jamster..aka the spawn of evil using it as a ringtone...A form of copyrighting must be around somewhere

No, unlike people reaching the charts Jonti has talent, so I don't see it happening at all.

I have not heard as many well-recognized covers by pop acts over the past few years. It remains very unfortunate, because most of them don't carry the music all the way out. When I heard about this remake from overseas, I juat went wow that is really different. Crazy Frog has made one of the most unique covers I've ever heard in awhile. His cover of the Axel F track from Beverly Hills Cop is great to listen to. It is very upbeat and delightfully catchy. It is a great change of pace to hear. Although it hasn't caught on well hear, I still would rather listen to this, than a lot of the manufactured acts anyday.....
This was a review of the Crazy Frog Axel F cover by an Amazon.com user.

Oh and btw Axel F. was originally done by Harold Faltermeyer.
This is why electronic music gets such a bad rap. There are amazing producers and artists out there like BT and Blank and Jones who barely get the recognition they deserve, yet someone does a crap club remix of Axel F and it shoots to number 1. Terrible. I hate everything about this "Crazy Frog" bulls***. This track belongs in the toilet. If you are actually considering purchasing this mess, go get the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack instead so you can here the original Axel F. Hopefully you'll realize how much better it is than this pile.
A review I agree with.

Dont even get me started on the crazy frog the little tw*t. The first time i heard that i was absolutely fuming i just wanted to rip the little f**ker out the television and throttle him and throttle him and throttle him..................... anyway it was actually an insanity test aswell but that didnt exploit it like that, go to google and search for insanity test and click the second link.......... i bet weebl could do something better.

I'm not sure about this. Okay, it'll be great for more people to love and worship Jonti & Weebl and such, but would it be just going down the route of the Crazy Frog, as in people would get sick, tired, etc. I think, although Jonti doesn't go all out and try to get tons of merchandise, what he does offer is great, good stuff and the fans snag it up asap. Whereas if say he did decide to release a single, you'll get some people saying Jonti's sold out like Jamster, trying to earn a fast buck.

Though if he did do a CD of all the songs he's made (the newer ones) I'd definately buy if it was available from his shop on the net :)

I bet you don't even know who Eddie Murphy is.

Philestines...

I personally don't think Weebl's stuff is annoying enough to reach the dizzying heights of the Crazy Frog.

Also he probably wouldn't want to be attached with that kind of reputation.

no it would be a bad idea, there would be a "Weebl-haters" website and everything:(
Just leave it here, its better a cult thing than some 15 mins of fame thing.

Well I don't know if any of the weebl-stuff toons are really long enough, I'm sure some version of badger that is edited a bit could do well. A lot of people know of badger now and it would bring more people to the site and probably make him money. It's not a terrible idea, but I doubt it will happen ever.

I'd rather it didn't for the sake of all the shouting down of weebl that would happen. Alot of people don't like novelty singles.

Also, the toons arn't made for that. They work as little short skits but not as records.

Most things that top the charts become easily annoying, and if making the charts was not intended than it ruins it for us all. Many of you have already covered this sort of thing in this thread, and I agree, too many teeny-boppers will come on here lol.

Crazy frog was great when i first heard it, but that was three years ago!!! and it wasn't a frog it was a racing car on the following site... erm *fiddles around in web browser finding it again* if there's still a link.. hmm no, can't find it, oh well it was an insanity test, with a picture of a racing car with the sound now the crazy frog playing in the background and you had to stare for a minute and not laugh... Back then it was really really funny, now that it's become a worldwide trend it's all ruined :(

Best leave Weebl's work here for the true fans, and not make a trend out of it.

Are you honestly suggesting that most of the people here aren't annoying anyway?
Though realising some of weebl's songs remixed to try and get into the charts would be pure evil.

To be honest, I don't think that if weebl DID release something like Badgers remixed with whatever, and it got really high, that he'd be too pissed off about the haters anyways. People hate weebls toons as it is...alot of epople just don't get weebl and bob. But I don't think weebl would exactly be in tears about it.

Even if he was, he could cry himself all the way to the bank. Jokes on them ultimatly :p

Weebl will have to embrace the chav side to him, allow it to surround his body, and make something as irritating as that bastard frog.

i think you're considering the long term effects too much, weebl haters would only be around for a month or two max.. and at the end of the day if something charts the haters will always be in a minority, i remember the pokemon haters.. that game has sold like 17 million copies worldwide and still going strong, the site went down before the show got cancelled...

having a charted song would be a really good long term asset, there would be a stupid ammount of money heading weebls way to open up a lot of doors...

end of the day it's his creation, baby if you willy.. :) and his decision

Pie-Badger-Man
06-09-2005, 04:56 PM
well he can either rise and keep rising or crash and burn after the first single

Oooh Yeah
06-09-2005, 04:57 PM
you can't predict something like that... where's your basis for your argument?

charlotte church is doing pretty well for herself even though she ditched her classical shizz, i know it's not a direct example but you can't assume everythinng will instantly crash and burn as you put it.

Think of the money Weebl would get, just from the Ninjas that would join.... if there were loads more people that came here, I mean.

Nah. I'm sure weebl would rather be known as the person who produced badgers, weebl and bob and all the other great toons, than 'that bloke wot made that ringtone, god thats so annoyin, got old really fast and now everyone hates it, innit?'.

I liked crazy frog for a while but after I heard it over 50 times it got annoying. How did it get tn #1? If crazy frog can do it magical trevor can do it better!

I don't think it's a good idea. I can't really describe it, mostly intuition. But here's a shot:

-Jonti would, probably (no offence), just concerntrate on churning out shit similar to what was a hit, which would be nowhere near as good as the real stuff. Then, when he realises it's unsuccesful, he'll come back here, but we'll have all left cause he's been such a sellout

-People wouldn't like things like Magical Trevor, as the jokes are a bit too weird. God knows how many people I've shown the stuff to and they've just walked off. The only one that would sell really well is Badger, and people already have that as their ringtones and it's too short for a single. Actually, I'm quite glad he's stopped the ringtone-like things, such as badgers, as his other stuff is much better. Magical Trevor 3 is the best of the series really

-It wouldn't be the same without the animations, reallly. 'Specially Magical Trevor
