After all, if they can leave but not come back, then they're not being held against their will. Not the nicest place to spend a while, but people tend to blow these things out of preportion.

Concentration camp: Place where millions of innocent jews, black people, disabled people and others were gassed to death.

FEMA Camp: Place where victims of a natural disaster are being given a place to sleep, food to eat, and a general area in which to get their lives back together after being ripped apart. I mean, they didn't even spit in the gruel, let alone walk you into a room of death.

Your thinking of death camps, which are the not so nice form of concentration camps, though technically using that definition the FEMA camps are concentration camps.[/nit picking]

Though they have a roof over their heads, they have food, a lot of the precautions make sense, like them not being able to bring food in, if some people had to go without the better food some people could get violent, normally people wouldnt but there are some people out there who would start something, trying to make sure everyone has the same is the best way to keep the peace at the moment really.

That is a load of crap. Anyone with half a brain will understand why others may get better food, and that no food that requires cooking is even dumber. I was fourteen when I went into Army Cadets (It's Canadian, you might not get it) and they knew we where competent enough to use a fire extinguisher when the goddamn fire alarm goes off. This is a blatant case of alienation and nobody likely has the time to enquire because of the nice looking term of 'refuge'
