Simple premise here: name one band for which you have purchased more cds, more merchandise, spent more on tickets, etcetera, than any other. It could be a personal favourite, but doesn't have to be.

Extra information is needed though: an approximation of what you have collected re: that band, including concert tickets and other one-time things for which you have no evidence except maybe photos and a ticket stub (costs of items may be included).

However, none of this evidence is required. I'm just interested to see the lengths to which people go in their quest for fandom.

Marilyn Manson. To the extent of buying albums I'd already downloaded/copied from friends ¬_¬ I have the tour edition of Mechanical Animals (eBay hooked me in) and I saw him live in Milan in June with my Italian friend \o/ which was great because the only UK dates he's put up for this tour are Leeds and Reading, and cba.

Some hard drive space is being taken up with many saved JPGs (including several wallpapers). There is a rather large poster of Omega gracing my bedroom wall <3

I have a zip-up top (from Milan concert), a flier from Christian protesters outside Milan concert bearing the headline "Dios ti ama" (friend translated flier for me - "God loves you despite what you might hear tonight", basically, lollerskates), and the aforementioned special edition CD. The only album I haven't bought is Holy Wood, I think.

Static-X: Three albums (4 since I bought one twice, more when I get my lazy ass to a music store that has their CDs.) round trip to Toronto for 3 days (the 3 nights I slept steets and random person's house, also, got the ticket for 20 bucks because someones friend didn't show up.) and tattoo.

=obsession.

Led Zeppelin, I have all official albums and DVD plus about another 300 tracks of live stuff and outtakes, totalling 30 albums, not to mention a bit of crappy merchandise, including t-shirts and some books.

I don't really have all that much from any one particular band, the most I have from one band would be from The Cat Empire. I have all two albums, plus the tapes & breaks CD, a signed poster, a t-shirt and have been to two concerts so far.

I own 16 AC/DC albums (all except the album "Who made who?" since it is a compliation of greatest hits made in the 80's and featured on two or three new songs). I am considering buying the two disc live CD as well as the one disc one I already own, because it was the one I wanted originally but the shop I ordered it from screwed up.

I own two live DVD's, one collection of videos/ rare live appearences etc. on DVD and a live VHS from the late 70's that wasn't released on DVD. I may buy the last DVD I don't own, I'm not sure.

I occasionally download live bootlegs too, but I haven't in a while.

The only other merchandise I own is an AC/DC t shirt.

I quite often buy most albums by a certain artist though, I also have all foo fighters CD's and a t shirt, from when I saw them live, as well as their DVD. If I like a band, I try to hear as much of their music as I can, I don't know why. I think AC/DC stands out simply because they have more albums.

That would be Oasis.

Every single up to Who Feels Love including Champagne Supernova, Morning Glory and Don't Go Away imports.
Every album up to Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants, including a bootleg of some very early demos c.1992
The Masterplan 10" fan club only box set
Singles box sets that look like giant B&H cigarette packs
There And Then live video, limited edition with live CD
A couple of tickets to see them at G-Mex in 1997
Two copies of the Wibbling Rivalry interview disc (one CD, one 7").
Two t-shirts at various times, both now sadly disintegrated

excellent.

i should add my own, though, since i forgot. this would be Nada Surf. I have various editions of all previous albums:

Their only major-label release, "High/Low (http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000002HM6/qid=1126459313/sr=8-2/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i2_xgl15/701-2628864-0966760)" (96). $8 Canadian, because I had discovered the band only after this success had faded.
The "Karmic" EP - a rare indy release from the same time as the major-label album.
The band-released version of "The Proximity Effect (http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/701-2628864-0966760) " (2000), from from their website (note link is just an example - this isn't the "MarDev" version).
"North Sixth Street (http://stores.musictoday.com/store/product.asp?band%5Fid=286&sfid=15&dept%5Fid=615&pf%5Fid=NACD02)" (1999), another self-released collection of B-Sides, covers, and other rarities only available from the website or at some shows.
The Special Edition of the European version of "Let Go (http://www.amazon.fr/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00006I9HJ/qid=1126460195/sr=1-16/ref=sr_1_10_16/402-8939729-2897726)" (2002/3), for the three extra tracks and because it was released 6 months before the U.S. edition. Ordered from Amazon.fr in spite of the major shipping costs.

I also purchased a CD-single from Amazon.fr, for the cost essentially of two whole albums back home, solely to complete the collection of songs from the Let Go sessions (16 were recorded, 15 available on the above Special Edition, and the last one as a B-Side on this Europe-only single).

I don't usually condone downloading, but I have collected a small range of otherwise unreleased B-Sides and live-recorded covers from European shows or radio sessions from 1995 to about 2004, all band-approved as none of it was album material.

In between these times I have bought 3 t-shirts from their website. Two are no longer available, and I couldn't take pictures now because they wore out from overuse - one was based on the Let Go front-cover. The remaining one is coincidentally still available for sale: here (http://stores.musictoday.com/store/product.asp?band%5Fid=286&sfid=15&dept%5Fid=614&pf%5Fid=NACT03).

I also purchased a Star t-shirt (based on the back cover of the U.S. "Let Go") from their U.S. label, Barsuk Records (http://www.barsuk.com/web.cgi).

In March of 2003 (month after the U.S. release of Let Go) I saw them in Seattle. And I have recently scored a ticket for their first show in Vancouver (October 18) Ever

I also have two new t-shirts, 2 buttons, and both the U.S. and European limited edition (all tracks from the current sessions) version of "The Weight Is A Gift" (due to be released on Tuesday) on order, pending shipment.
