Does anyone else think it should? They should use the Twenty20 rules, that way it would be more exciting. By the way, yes I know cricket was in the olympics in about 1904.

Yes, why not? If the Olympics can consider including snooker, then I'm sure a cricket competition would involve more countries than that. The issue for Britain (as with football) is the problem of competing as a GB&NI team on principle.

Shouldn't this be in sport?

Australia and England recently played the first international Twenty20 match this year, if I recall correctly.

What would be the point?

What would be the point?Might be inspired by the fact that we might win something!

Yeah, what's the point in having sports like the 100m, table tennis, judo, football, ice skating, 45m butterfly, the marathon, hockey or long jump? ¬_¬

It's still a sport, and there's no reason why it can't be in the Olympics.

I think the olympics should be athletic competition, not sports. I dont agree with things like olympic football either.

The GB&NI thing would be less of an issue as it would be with football, after all, the ECB covers England and Wales as it is, and I'm sure Northern Ireland would agree (Do they even have a cricket team?), Scotland could cause a bit of a problem though.

Not enough nations play it for it to be viable as an olympic sport, as much as I would like it to be one.

But we've got The Ashes. No need for crappy gold medals. http://67.18.37.18/2230/185/emo/nope.gif

For God's sake.

If you'd lost the pissing Ashes, nobody would be doing all this. Nor would they care about cricket being on Sky.

Nor would they care about cricket being on Sky.What about people who have supported cricket and been to and watched English tests on the television for years? I was complaining about the cricket being moved to Sky since before the Ashes started (this series, not the actual competition, of course).

No-one cares that you don't like cricket. I love it.

I would still care about it being on Sky. Even if I didn't like Cricket, I hate Sky's monopoly. http://67.18.37.18/2230/185/emo/fraidso.gif

No.

And yes, congratulations to genuine cricket supporters. I applaud you.

I don't applaud the footy fans who saw Northern Ireland win and immediately jumped on the Ashes bandwagon.

If London 2012 chooses cricket as its sport to add...let's just say that it'll SUCK.

Baseball was one of the first sports ever to be removed from the Olympics because it was crap. Cricket inspired baseball.

Thats the most sensible reason, and probably why it wont ever be included (again).
