is there really a warthog mod for halo2? i googled it but didn't find anything conclusive. please tell me if you know any mods or anything else for halo2.

Just so you know, using such mods on Xbox Live will result in you being banned :)

Yes, an a whooping by many vigilantés. Oh, and Bungie. You can use mods offline though - but make sure you haven't signed into Xbox Live.
