What does everyone make of this? I personally think it's a good idea, as it limits Chelski to how much they can spend, and therefore won't run away with the Premiership each season for the next ten years

However, it does put a restriction on other big teams, so as the mancs and gunners etc, and it may be that they spend all their salary cap on just one player

I more or less agree. If players don't play as well, that's their problem, they should be playing to enjoy themselves, not for the money. I think they should reduce it proportionately, so they don't all get paid the maximum. This should also mean cheaper tickets.

I personally agree with the idea but surely all the best players will simply bog off to another country without a wage cap so they can get paid better, it would be much better if it were implemented across the whole of football rather than just the English League.

I think it's a nice thought, not sure on the practicalities and whether it would actually work.

It would have to be a Europe wide thing, if it was just the Premiership it would fall (even further) behind Serie A and La Liga, maybe even the Bundesliga, and become a second rate (with all due repsect) league like Eredivisie or the SPL.
