Flash 8..?

Morning all,

Since this is my FP I though the Beginners section would be the best place :)

Does anyone else have a problem viewing the cartoons with Flash 8 and Firefox 1.0.7 ? I just get whitespace after installing it. As I take a casual loook around my room everything else seems to be visible, so I dont hink its my eyes playing me up.

I did get the swirly thing telling me I needed Flash 8, gave it clickage and installage but now I'm getting no love.

Any ideas?

Well, I don't know, as Flash 8 intsalled very smoothly onto Opera for me.

Try looking in 'Techy Bollocks' (If you can, I can't remember which forums newbies can post in).

Anyways, don't use text speak, don't feed the Zekey ( :trex: ), stay out of the cheese bin for a bit and have fun!

EDIT-Had a look in the said forum, and found this:

Uninstall it.

Reboot.

Install again.

Reboot.

Test.

If that fails, I don't know what the hell could be wrong. :/

Also found the solution.

I am using the Adblock extention, and you have to turn off OBJ-TABS (whatever they are) to get Flash 8 to play. Hurrah!

In addition, sometimes you have to clear the cache. That happened to me a while back.

My computer hates flash. It completely rejects it.

Im having trouble viewing the new toons too actually. They are teh slow..

i can't use flash either, i'm on a computer in the uni library and it won't let anyone download anything :(
