Now these series of games seem to be overshadowed by the likes of Metroid Prime (shite and overrated in my opinion) and Wind Waker (outstanding). But I think that THIS is one of nintendos best creations ever...

StarFox

For those of you who dont know, the StarFox games are about a group of mercanary pilots, Fox Mcloud, Falco Lombardi, Peppy Hare, Slippy Toad and the mechanic, ROB (:nana: ), flying of fighting there way through missions and taking on the evil warlord...Andross. Heres the current list of SF games out...

StarFox (or StarWing in Europe)
This was the first SF game, and out on the SNES. It used the Super FX chip that made polygons on the game, and it made a truly wonderful gaming masterpiece. You play Fox in his Airwing, and with the help of your wingmen (who TALK!) you must fly and shoot your way through and save the Lylat system from the wrath of Andross. Brilliant graphics, plot, controls and sound and gameplay, this was THE ultimate dog fighting game for its time.

StarFox 64 (of Lylat Wars in Europe)
The sequel to SF. Once again you play Fox on a mission to destroy the ressurected Andross. There were dozens of routes through the game, depending on what actions you did in the game. Once again, you pilot the Airwing but this time you can drive the Landmaster Tank and the Blue Marine. Fantastic graphics and plot, this was brilliant. Downside? TOO FRIGGIN SHORT. Although it has many routes, me and my mate completed the main game in about...1 hour. Jaysis...

StarFox Adventures
The last ever Ninty game by Rare (for now), Star Fox Adventures (for GameCube) bended the rules of StarFox and took Fox out of his Airwing, and put him in a Zelda-like adventure game (hence Adventures in the name). After reciving a distress call from Dinosour Planet, Fox and his group of ultra "cool, trendy hip hop" mates fly down to see whats happening. Fox finds out that the evil Dino dude thingy, General Scales has stolen the Krazoa Spirits. Fox needs to get them back. So what follows is a pretty decent Zelda like adventure, with fantastic graphics and voice overs. There are also some Airwing levels thrown in as well. Many things have changed from the previous SF games, but two things aint changed a bit: Andross is the main enemy again and ITS TOO FRIGGIN SHORT!

Anyway, I think the StarFox series are the best thing Nintendo created! They may be short, but they still rock!

Anyone else agree with me?
