View Full Version : Radio 1? ? ? ?
Hi, if you listen to radio 1 you know by now that Chris Moyles and Sarah Cox have changed places. What do you all think of this. (please bear in mind that the only reason i know this is because of my liitle brother, crap music is his style:confused: he listens to it)
But if your wondering what i listen to its genraly rock (no punk rock or slipknot style rock, just classic rock and all that!)

doesn't really bother me, sara cox is intensly annoying and her show's crap. chris moyles is marginally better but they don't compete against the power of MARK & LARD! they rule the airwaves. but on the whole, radio1 is crap.
check out jonathon ross' show on sat mornings on radio2!

digital radio is the way forward - the storm and the classic rock stations :notworthy
Sadly I'm too poor to get one apart from my sky digibox :(

Digital radio has a much clearer signal. well a fantastically clearer signal. if you have sky or cable, listen to the radio channels on there and then your ordinary radio.
Think it's to do with the way the signals are broadcast. As you always get interference, even with an arial. (plus virgin sounds soooo juch better digital).
It's the way forward.
I used to listen to Radio 1 for Chris Moyles & the Rock show, now prefer radio 2, it seems to have a better selection :)
Yeah, radio 2 is so cool. Radio 1 sucks but the fact that i have to share a room with my brother is really bad, we made a deal that if i get the computer to myself and he had the choice of music then we had a deal. But i give him beats if he doesnt let me put what music i wont to put on. Which is ok but most of the time my brother seems to wont to tell my parents and it goes all shit. He's starering at the computer now. And i bet he will tell my dad. damn.:(

I use to listen to Radio 1 (before I installed the CD changer in the car- Black sabbath all the way home now), waking up to chris moyles urgh.
I don't want to hear his stupid, loud mouth, ignorant gob in the morning.

the reason for the swap is probably a ratings thing. sarah cox was losing listeners, while chris moyles doesn't lose them. so radio 1 swapped them in a desperate move to keep listeners.
not that i care, i mainly listen to random internet radio stations.

Its broadcast in binary, rather than a wave signal, this means its easier for your radio to remove interference. It's also a smaller signal, so more data can be sent at once - hence more channels.
AND because its digital, it can have extra info like song names too.
On the Radio 1 subject, Sarah Cox annoys me, Chris Moyles is amusing. I'd listen to Radio 2, but i can't stand Terry Wogan (and Steve Wright isn't much better).

My Dad got a DAB digital Radio for Christmas. Sooooo many stations it's untrue. I stumbled across one which was simply meant for ambience. Just background noise, like Birds Chirping, and babbling streams. Very relaxing.
Thus, I conclude, not all Radio Stations are crap. Only the ones that play music.

"nothing but big things! now drop the bomb!"
I don't listen to radio much at all so to argue/debate about it is pointless. If I do then I try and listen to kool fm a good pirate dnb station based around london (good reception in my town) but it has been so long since I switched on a radio set I have forgotten what station it is.

Chris Moyles kicked ass! Shame he'sswapped with Sarah Cox. She justn't cut it, I think...
I have a DAB Digital Radio (Me + Bro Split the cost), but I usually Listen to radio 4 Comedy and James Whale (TalkSport) at nite.
Hmmm...... John peel plays some very strange music yet some of it has been surprisingly good, this is not a lie but a true statment, john peel actully played 1 of pink floyeds songs live from the album pulse. It was brilliant! But radio 2 beats it by far. Shame about twaty Terry wogan. Its evil waking up to him. But now i wake up to either jet or pink floyd. yay me.
