One of the boss man-type-guys where I work uses a laptop.
Uses it as if it were a desktop most of the time --- sits closed on his desk connected to monitor (crt), mouse and keyboard. The only real reason he has a laptop is so occasionally he can take the thing home.
It works fine. No real problems.
But there is one funky little annoyance - whenever he plays any kind of video file, it won't show up on the CRT monitor.
He opens a video file, and Windows Media Player loads --- the sound is playing and the progress bar at the bottom indicates the video is being played. But no video on the CRT, just an empty WMP window.
However if you open the laptop up, there's the video playing merrily away on the laptops LCD screen.
It's only video files that seem to do this. The CRT displays everything else perfectly.
Anyone got any ideas?
PS if you take a printscreen and paste it into a paint package, you can see the frame rom the video in the screenshot, even on the CRT.
