Hello there boys and girls. There was recently an offer that friend pointed out regarding some free virgin sim cards. So of course I snapped up 4 of them.

These sim cards aren't just normal virgin sims - they're special as you have the oppurtunity to get 400 free texts if you top up with £10 instead of 200 like the normal bundles you can buy. Each pack includes a sim card of course and an e-topup card and the pack is sealed so no-one else knows the number!

One of them I'm going to give to said friend... that leaves 3 left. Now I was considering eBaying them but it turns out eBay is flooded with them (479 as opposed to 63, 9, 10 of other networks :p)

So really I won't make much (if any) money from them so my charitable nature has kicked in. If any forumites would like one then I'll post them free of charge - just PM me your address.

However, a bit of bribery wouldn't hurt. (I mean points, not sexing.) So let the bidding begin!

you know, just because she told you her cards were virgin doesn't mean they are. :x

anyway, what exactly do these things do?

Stick them in your mobile phone, and you get put on a special tariff for twelve or eighteen months where topping up by ten quid per month doubles your bonuses.

Virgin are a bit of a pain tbh; I never had such trouble with T-Mobile. Pity T-Mobile have shit tarriffs in comparison...

Virgin are a bit of a pain to be honest (as i always normally skate around the subject, mostly i plain lie); I never had such trouble with T-Mobile. Pity T-Mobile have shit tarriffs in comparison...
Why are Virgin a pain? What trouble? I have no problems, and all my mates are on Virgin so it's 3p a text. And I don't really see the point of using WAP so for me it's a winner.

Maybe it was isolated to me, but I suffered frequent signal dropouts across many SIM's and phones in my town. The strange thing is that T-Mobile - the company that Virgin are piggybacked onto - worked fine.

It's great if it works I guess, and the 3p text deal isn't too bad at all :D

Not entirely free, ill have to get my mobile, but the text bundles should be great.
