First of all AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHH! WHY!?
Now the story
Recently my sister bought a pc of some guy my dad knows. Its about a year old but still slightly better than the one im using to write this angry rant. "Finaly something i can play decent games on" i thought to myself. "Well it has a crappy built in graphics card but i could upgrade it i guess"
Boy was i wrong. I opened the case to find...
*Shocking Dramatic Music*
THERE IS NO AGP SLOT!!
Me and my sister are really pissed off.
I just thought i would express my anger on here instead of hurting someone

Is there a PCI-Express slot instead?

Is it a Dell? Quite a lot of the lower-end Dells don't have any graphics accelerator slots, although Dell don't specify this of course :/

Yeah its a Dell. It looks like theres a space for it there, stupid people at dell probably thought "Well its got built in graphics so what possible is there for this bit, Ill get rid of it to save space"

More like to cut down on price, then to rip you off by getting you to buy a whole new system for a better graphics card :p
Of course, there are PCI cards which aren't very good and won't play extremely modern games, but it will be better than integrated graphics.
This (http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=90380[/url) for example is a low-mid range nVidia card, it won't play HL2 on full settings with HDR etc, but you can certainly play in medium settings and newer games in low.

pci are the white slots right? Lewiji your link didnt display anything but i found a Sapphire X800GTO 256mb that is pci. Is that any good? I dont really have much experience with graphic cards.

That is PCI-Express, it won't work in a PCI slot.
If you find a card over £75 claiming to be PCI, it will be PCI-Express (as a general rule).

Yeah, as Stringy Pete says, PCI and PCI Express are two totally different things.

Note for future reference:
Don't buy Dell unless all you do is write Word documents.
Your stuck in the same situtation as me here. I didn't know i was getting this PC, hence i wasn't in charge of it's purchase.
Plus secretly i think my parents didn't want me playing games on it at the time.

I think the best PCI graphics card is a Nvidia 5700le. Which isn't bad, but won't play FEAR on high...

My parents bought a high-end dell and won't allow me to custom build, but Cs: s and HL2 work fine on it. I really would prefer to build my own though.

To misquote Sun Microsystems, it rhymes with "hell" for a reason.
