Im thinking of making myself a signature picture. I have an idea and an image, now all I need is a program that will let me make some good text. What I want is something that will let me do a two tone/colour text image so I can put the necessary text on without it looking like the kind of shite I usually come up with. To sum it up easily, I want something that will look good and take bare minimum of effort. Im good enough with computers but Im no artist. I dont mind if its only a trial, I dont mind downloading something just for one use. I am currently getting a trial for Corel Paintshop which I thought might do it, but I was wondering if anyone had any better ideas.

If you can get hold of it, Microsoft Photodraw is incredibly newbie friendly which produces excellent results. The downsides is that the program has never heard of "file compression" and that if you want to do anything too advanced, you'll be reaching for another image editing program.

I dont want anything that advanced. Just something that wont look like I buggered it up in paint in 2 minutes.

The best program that I have found to edit text is Adobe Illustrator. I found it tobe easy to pick up and manipulate text although you would need to export the design to another program, for example, imageready.

Try for free here... (http://www.adobe.com/products/tryadobe/main.jsp)

I am sure that if you want a design there are many people on here that are willing to do one for you.

Well Im sure there are, but I cant explain exactly what I want done, only I know really. Id like to be able to do it anyway. To try and be a little more specific I want text that kind of fades into different colours, with a kind of ambient glow to it...if that makes any sense. Illustrator...400 mb for trial...maybe later :D
