Ok, here's what's happening. I'm going Youth Hostelling with a few other families and our family has been asked to think of a game. This will be played in the evening and shouldn't be too short. We have a wide range of age groups there, the youngest being about eight and the oldest being adult so it will need to suit everyone. A long running game that ruins throughout the holiday would be nice aswell such as the Murder Game. So I would really appreciate it if you could post any games that you know of that would suit all this criteria. Thanks

Soft sculpture is always fun - put people into groups, and give them pieces of paper with historical events, places etc on them. They then have to "scuplt" a representation of said event/place using only their bodies as a group - a kinda freeze-frame of the incident with people pretending to be buildings etc. Groups of 4 or 5 tend to work well for this.

Other silly ones include having to write stories with first line, middle line, last line; giving everyone little pieces of paper with random objects / vegetables / piece of furniture and telling them they have to get into groups of all the carrots / chairs / wardrobes together without communicating (quite good for getting everyone into groups to start with).

Can't think of any more at the moment but I'll get back to you if I do.
