recently ive been frequenting some downright distasteful student hovels parading
as discotheques and each time i have been faced with the same old unanswered question, as well as a sense of extreme self debasement.

why do these places seem intent on playing the same old rubbish?
does anyone really like this stuff?

i could spit venom 500 miles when i hear the opening riff of bryan adams, and 500 more when bon jovi predictably follows suit living on his bloody prayer. this hateful stuff should be thrown on the burning pyres of hell where it belongs, along with the poncho.

most of these songs are older than the people in these places and i have a horrible feeling that by the time this curse is over i will be too old to get out of my chair by the fire let alone drink flourescent wkd all night.

does anyone out there really feel there night has ended on a high with the closing chords of come on eileen?

i am having this rant because i might have to go to the union tonight

Oh, lighten up. They're classic tracks, that's why they're played.

Or are you just embarrased because you followed the song's instructions and came on Eilleen?

Have you tried taking earplugs? Shit music sounds better if you can't hear it.

Raves are for wankers, so are clubs while I'm at it. Live Music will beat them all, hands down.

Hehe. This kind of music appeals to people, especially drunk people. The idea isnt necessarily to like the music that is played, its just to enjoy whatever it is. Do you think I would like clubs with the shit they play? Well...I dont that much...but thats NOT the point :D

Fuck the union and find a decent Drum and Bass club
