View Full Version : Halloween
What with Halloween coming up (One of my favorite times of year I might add) I was wondering what the many people here will be doing, if anything, to celibrate.
Also share your experences of this wonderful time of year
I will be attending a fancy dress rock concert/air guitar competition and will be getting smashed...
I'm not overly sure what to go as however...any ideas?
Well, anyway, lets me be the first to wish you a happy halloween in advance :p
I'm going to a party or two, I wanted to have my own, but I live annoyingly far away from most people now.
I'm thinking toga, not sure though.

I'm going to scream abuse at any kid who comes within ten foot of my front door.
After that I'll probably be asking the same question to the local custody sergeant.
I always try and think up traps for trick or treaters...most of them are deadly though, so I can't use them :(

I love Halloween and anything that is an excuse to dress up, Last year was crap as most of us worked in my little crowd so it was Vampires. This year we are all off work and there is a huge party so the debate is on as to what to go as.
I am toying with the idea of something extra terrestrial not sure a lot of people will be going as Zombies, one guy is going as a dude with no legs (no idea why) and we have one headless horseman but more ideas would be cool.
Frankenstein is always a popular one along with Vampires, my brother went as a used tampon a few years ago
One year I went as a ball of yarn and my friend went as a cat. Wouldn't have been so bad if we had put effort into our costumes.

One year I went to a student bash at Halloween and some American guy had a full on Alien costume, I mean this thing was awesome, I think back and now I wished I had mugged him for it :(
Jay and Silent Bob are always popular parings to go as.
Alien as in ET style or the bad-assed Alien from the Alien films?
Was a pretty convincing werewolf once...and a grim reaper
[Edit] Think Jay would be a good one as I've got the name down already :p

:) It was an Alien as in Alien films. It was really cool came with huge tail and a head piece too.
I went as the Hulk before but the green paint took ages to clean off :D
Jason Vorhees would be easy to go as or Mike Myers, I know a few people go as the St Trinian girls and wow do they look hot ;)
A lot of people go as Nurses but nothing that inspiring there as half of them are bloody nurses.
Storm Troopers are fairly easy to do along with Darth Vader a lot of costume hire places stock those outfits.

I'll have a megaphone attached to way far down our drive, telling people to come onto our property, then when they get so far up the drive, they'd fall into a large hole, and die.
Heh
I really cant stand people trick or treating on my property.
:) It was an Alien as in Alien films. It was really cool came with huge tail and a head piece too.Woah, awesome.
I could go as a Surgeon again...well, the last time I used it was about a month back for a local "Doctors and Nurses" night down a local pub...
I'll have to upload a pci off my phone (soon as a I work out how...)

Not sure what Im going as yet.
My mom spent a good 100$ on candy I think. Probably because of us living in the epic area of 300 minium small children coming to the door..
Lucky we are keeping 50$ worth of it to ourselves to eat. My dad and I like to pick out all the good stuff and give crap to the kids.
Im going egging this year, I have a few vendetas of mine to finish, and maybe pull some tricks and such on some other kids I dislike...
I <3 Halloween so very much.
See, most of the UK doesnt really celibrate halloween much...which sucks. It seems to be more of an American thing...I'd love to vist American during the season one time, just for comparison

I'm plotting a horror movie marathon, as seen in the thread in me(several 'e's)ja.
nothing else really. i shall get candy, then eat it myself 'cuz kids can't get into the building (security locks).
Its all well and good harassing the trick or treaters, but sometimes they come with their mum...thus rendering you powerless...

Indeed, then you know they're not going to do anything stupid like continually pester you. Anyway, adults make easier targets... yes i'm joking

Halloween in the uk is proper shite and always has been. Kids nowadays would probably hock the sweets for drugs or alcohol...

I never do anything at halloween. My neighbours try and organise some sort of party and trick-or-treating for the younger ones, but quite frankly I couldn't give a flying fromage. Halloween sucks.
edit: Dear God - I never thought the day would come that I would agree with Chavvy on something.

I've been invited out but I don't have the money for it, so I guess I'm gonna stay in, shoo kids who come either early or on the day and say "I'm sorry, no candy" or let my Mum do that and I'll probably watch either scary movies on the TV or on DVD.
Turning off the lights in my hallway and standing behind my front door with a chainsaw and firing it up when kids come near the door , That'll scare 'm HAHAHAHAHA (I'm Evil.)

I'm going to a Halloween Party at my mates house where we'll probably get drunk, run around the massive field across from his house in our underwear and go to the graveyard like last year! :)
And egg houses of course!

I really have no idea WTF I'm going to do for halloween. For like 2 years in a row I went around as a police officer. Simple. Pants, shirt, tie, badge, bag, flashlight, radio, gun, etc. Then I came home and worked the special effects (sounds, lighting, etc.).
But as for this year, I really can't be arsed to think about that as I'm currently more concerned with the upcoming school paintball trip.

I'll probably just get the sweets and hock them all for drugs and alcohol...
Or sit inside and watch Most Haunted Live.
With all the lights in my house off, of course. Can't have any trick and/or treaters ruining my Hallowe'en.

well, on the 29th, my mate hodge is having a party. with sherbert and hobgoblin. should be abbsolutely brilliant, he has a trampoline and lots of food, and while we will probably be confined to his room he has decent movies and a spacious seating area. If not, i'll sit on someone's lap - being possibly the only girl there, that should be amusing. i will be wearing my nice stripy red socks.
and on actual halloween my family's having a party and my boyfriend is coming round. My sisters are going trick or treating, but i don't believe in that so we're gonn watch scary movies or summat.

ohhhhi love halloween! this i'll be terrorizing small children/the neighborhood as Magical Trevor. i'm also gonna get one of those cheap pumpkin candy bag thingys, cut it in half, cut holes for eyes, put it on a pair of overly large pants and an overly large shirt, stuff them both with newspaper. then i'll put some candy in a bowl, sit on my porch with a sign that says "take one". then when the pre-teens come around and try to take all the candy, i'll jump up and scare them off. oh it will be hilarious. as for mischoufe night i'll probably take out my paintball gun and chase anyone who eggs my house or car

anyway, i don't celebrate halloween much as i don't like the holiday as it encourages yobbish behaviour. however what i probably will be doing is dressing up in a random costume that has absolutely nothing to do with halloween and go carol singing or something else stupid like that

I'm already looking at random horror stories :)
I think we should have a Hallowe'en gathering in General Pap for those sad, sad people like me who have nowhere to go and nothing to do on the night \o/
I'll just sit at home and hope that no trick or treaters come round because
a) They annoy me
b) I always forget to buy sweets.
It's on a monday this year, so I doubt anyone will come round.

Though it seems like I might wind up being a back-up "designated adult" for a group of trick-or-treating kids. I seem incapable of saying no to random requests.

Aw man, cjw. I HATE it when that happens! :P
Anyways, yeah. That's something I don't agree with. The day BEFORE. All the kids going out with their eggs and whatnot, smashing the nice pumpkins you took the time to carve and put a candle in. If I had a paintball gun of my own, I'd surely have a full CO2 tank as well as a full 200 round hopper ready to go. Let the lawsuits roll in from a couple of shot out eyes. "How's THAT for mischief, you stupid twats!" That's how I feel about that.
It's stupid and pranksters like that should FOAD and take their stupid car paint-ruining eggs with them on the way to hell.
[/rant]
Halloween=good. Mischiefs=no.
Hell, I think I'll just go riding around that Sunday with the strobe light flashing in my front window with my mom or something just to scare them all off my street. Last year we were at a relative's house down in Point Pleasant, NJ and our car got foamed with some kind of... foam. I wanted to personally beat the people who did it, with a hard-metal baseball bat. I did however catch a couple kids riding around on their bikes with a bag and wanted to chase them down SO BAD. ‘_‘ I'll get them. Watch me. [/rant2]
Edit: @Junior: Well gees, that sounds pretty... well... odd, for the day it will be. O_o
Well, this took off better that I expected lol.

I have to spend all halloween preparing for those chavs who can't be bothered to dress up and demand money.
All evening I will be on the roof with my paintball gun. And all day I will be setting Sonic the Hedgehog style spike traps in an attempt to get their gold rings. [/gamingreference].

I will be purchasing a Mike Myers mask and sitting in my dad's car waiting for people to come up the driveway. Also our front door has a window in it so I might have to use that :)

BEWARE! POST CONTAINS SPOOKYNESS
Last night me an my girlfriend watched the remake of Amityville. After several jumpy bits and the film ending we went to bed. Basically without spoiling the film things happen in the house at 3:15am. So off we trundled to bed and then conked out. I bet you can guess what happens.......
I woke up to find the light still on, as I leaned over to turn it off the clock reads "3:15". My girlfriend didn't find it funny when i woke her up to show her the time. Spooky wooky!

I GOT EGGED! :nana: I was walking along a parade of shops and i felt something hard hit my arm (It bloody hurt aswell) and i looked down and there was a broken egg on the floor. Someone had chucked it at me from a passing car and it had bounced off my arm and cracked on the floor. It was good that i didn't get anything over me but not so good i had been the victim of an attempted egging. Halloween has lost it's meaning somewhat. Now it's more about going out and torturing innocent people for somepeople. I mean my friend's car wing mirror had been shattered by trick or treaters (along with a dozen other cars up the road) and eeg and flour thrown at the car. Not because they hadn't answered the door - because they were passing by.
