Hello, lamebrain, welcome to the lands of orange, this should really be posted in the beginners section. Read the FAQ's don't spam, and get adopted if you want.
Also, remember not to use 'txt' speech or 1337 and don't double post.

Greetings Lamebrain, just so you know this thread should really be in begginers. If a mod comes across it hopefully he/she will move it

Heres some advice:

im new here
No, instant messaging isn't new here, and questions should be finished with a '?'. Also, 'im' should be uppercase as it's an acronym.

My oh my, the state of grammar these days.

/Waits for there to be a grammatical error in my post

Kill the french? that's not very good advice. In the beginners section your likely to get to know the whole forum very easilt and get the ropes of whats what and whos who.
I hope you like it here. I enjoy posting here very much. Everybody's really friendly....well mostly everybody

Upper case. Two words. (at least if you're being pedantic).

Also: My oh my

What about your oh my?

(I must admit, I had to look quite hard and be really pedantic to find anything)

My oh my. The state of grammar these days.
Fixed version 1. Not sure that this one works still.
My, oh! My. The state of grammar these days.
Version 2. Very old fasioned, threating oh! as an interjection.
My. Oh. My. The state of grammar these days.
Version 3. The 'Simpsons' method of emphasis.
My-Oh-My! The state of grammar these days.
Version 4. I like this one as it conveys the spoken, colloquial nature of the initial exclamation.

I'm going to leave now and excercise my pedantry elsewhere.

Makes you wonder why we don't have a thread saying all this
Makes you wonder why we assume that new people don't read the rules

it is unnecessary to have a comma if you are using "and" :eng101:

also, it appears as though you used apostrophes..'.....instead of inverted commas...".... where necessary

so, now you know
there you go :p

The use of '?' isn't incorrect as I'm not quoting it, I'm using the inverted comma as a mark of reference, that is to say, I'm referring to the character known as the question mark, not actually quoting one.

However, there is cause for your call of foul play with the use of the apostrophes encapsulating "im", and I concede that should've been with proper speech marks/inverted commas.

p.s. While unnecessary, the comma before "and" isn't grammatically incorrect. You can use a comma to separate two independent clauses when connected with the conjunction 'and'. I also thought someone correcting grammar would've been more thorough with the grammar of their own post.

I apologise for the bumpage, but I defend myself to the end!
