Have any of you inherited something really bad from your parents and your sibling has absolutley no disorders from inheritence?

I managed to inherit my dads bad back and bad knee, and my mums bad jaw, and my brother, nothing, another one of those things were life just gets on your nerves

Anywho, has anybody else got any disorders thanks to their parents that they hate (or love)?

I've got large pupills from my dad. Thanks to those I can see very good in dark corridores, but I cant stand strong light. So winters during the morning, must have sunglasses on. Or else my eyes burns and I just see a white wall.

I have my dads pointy head and increasingly my mums dads baldness ... thanks folks!

(Tho it could be worse. I also have my dads immune system so very rarely get ill and my sister managed to grab the ginger gene passed on from a grandparent so hey!)

I think I'm the lucky one, because my sister has diabetes.

There's a high incidence of autistic spectrum disorders in my family. Myself, my younger sister and possibly my older sister too (she's awaiting the results of her diagnosis) all have Asperger's Syndrome to varying degrees as does my youngest nephew.

I inherited my dad's hair, my mum's ears, my dad's knees, my mum's fingers, my dad's nose, and my mum's sense of humor. so it's nicely balanced!

i was going to say; Yes, i inherited a toasting fork when my grandma died, till i read the thread properly.

i inherited extremely long legs. which some of you may think sounds ok, but its not when you have to search for trousers that are 36" long. Annoying.

my mum came from mauritius so i have a foreign look about me...but barely noticable. I feel sorry for my brother his skin is light but also dark in a way and it always looks dirty.
Unfortunately me and my brother inherited frizzy unmanagable hair from my dad! (Thank the lord for straighners!)

The good thing though is my parents are both intelligent people, so I have inherited that, apart form I feel like the dumb ass of my family, my dad can do ALOT with a computer, as can my mum, and my brother is pretty good at his graphics work (he's 12, 3 years younger than me) and I don't really have many special qualitys except my phenominal memory, which dosent really help, it just recalls events and reduces revision time

I've inherited being short of both parents. I haven't inherited either's looks, I wouldn't actually be surprised if I found out I was adopted.

I'm fairly sure that happens to most people...Since when you do physical excersize more blood flows through the arteries and veins, so they "pop out".

I've inherited the same sort of build as my Dad (stocky build) hazel eyes (same as me Mum, rest of the family have REALLY blue eyes) and apparently the same sort of personality as my Dad (so laid back I'm nearly over) which is a bit bizzarre considering I 've never spend massive amounts of time with my old man)

A kettle from my Aunt Ethel and an Urdu Bible from Uncle Nigel. Bones from Auntie Jones and a traffic warden from Uncle Gordon. Seventy knees from Uncle Rhys, two twos are four from Auntie Nora, a pfennig and rentenmark from Uncle Mark and a brand new bike from Uncle Mike.
Sorry, I felt like writing a poem.
To answer the question, not yet but my dad and his dad are both quite slow at grasping simple concepts, blame everyone else for everything, are convinced they know best about everything and won't have anyone tell them they're wrong about anything. I haven't inherited this yet (at least, I don't think so), but I'm getting worried that it will happen.

I got horrible skin from both my parents.

I've got 2 kinds of acne (one on my face and one on my scalp) and I've got a vitiligo patch on my stomach.

I've also got my mothers allergies (in other words, a constant runny nose) my father's bad knee, and my mother's constant headaches.

Luckily, I also inherited their smarts, so I'm not that bad off.
