Hello all,

I've just been editing together a video of my band with Windows Movie Maker and, of course, it's output is .mwv. I'd like to host the video on Google Video for the time being so it needs to be converted to a different format.

I would like to know which format is the best and how I would convert the .wmv I have to that format.

Thanks in advance,

Soapie.

I can't find the link for google video on their site. Should I just google for it?

http://video.google.com

They support most formats, just not .wmv, so I need a way of changing it. :)

Have you tried uploading the .wmv? Various bits I've found seem to suggest that they support it.

Anyway, VIDEOzilla (http://www.videozilla.net/) will convert .wmv to .mpeg for you

Thanks for the link, I'll try it out tomorrow and get back on the success, or lack thereof.

Really? How odd. I managed to select a wmv file no problem. Even the screenshot on the download page (https://upload.video.google.com/UploadInfo) says it supports wmv. I'm not doubting you, it's just very odd that it's tripping over your wmv files and not mine.

Anyway, hope VIDEOzilla is what you're after.

Edit: This is what my Unsupported Format dialog looks like, is yours the same?

Well, turns out I cannot read dialog boxes.

Problem was that the file name had an exclaimation mark in it. I'm sorry for wasting your time.
