Okay, don't know why you want to know this, but I buy the cheap panasonic ones in the pound shop...

Likewise. I buy the Sky branded ones; they're probably just branded cheapo ones but hey, they're cheap and do the job.

Sony walkman ones rock, they're rechargable :D

The nifty rechargable Energizer batteries. They work well and last just as long as a non-rechargable in the cordless keyboard and mouse.

and cheap batteries are not really cheap since they only do the job for half the time. less energy, but the same amount of waste...

None of that disposable battery nonsense thank you - rechargeables plus solar recharger :)

I dont really have a preferance.

All battries run out the same time for me anyway :\

And when they say "new and improved" do they really mean it. They still dont last any longer when i use them.

You left out Rayovac!

Tweety bird and Michael Jordan Rayovac batteries!

But meh, I voted Duracell because Rayovac is way to superior to be considered OTHER.

How can they be new and improved, thats impossible, you can't have something new then improve it straight away, and you can't improve soemthing then call it new, they shoudl be saying newly improved

You just reminded me of someone.

I would say just buy really cheap shitty battries like tesco's own brand or something, then you can get 2 or 3 times the amount of batteries for the same price.

Even though they won't last as long, you are better off overall.

I don't actually use batteries much anymore - anything eckeltricity powered has a built in rechargable battery for me [see mobile, iPod, GBA SP etc].

The few battery-powered things [wireless mouse and keyboard, wecam] use AAA batteries which are...Safeways' own-brand. Not rechargable or anything. They run for enough time and are so much cheaper than big-brand that it's worthwhile.

Duracell for me, but I use rechargeable batteries in stuff I usualy forget to turn off, like my portable radio. Voted last one though, couldnt resist.

I use Duracell, though I once bought a sixty-four pack of cheapo batteries from the 99p store...

Deal?

Oh yes.

Ouch!
01-11-2005, 08:17 PM
muahaha! everything i own runs on its own re-chargable lithium ion battery!!!!

I always thought they were the same thing with clever branding going on to artifically inflate competition.

Duracell cause they have such wonderful coloured bottoms :) Hmmm... yellow's my favourite (and they're usually a bargain from Dixon's when I need to get a ton for my CD player which is constantly playing soundtracks)

I recently got a bunch of Maxells from Office Depot. Very cheap - for roughly the cost for a 4-pack of duracell or energizer I got a 24 pack. And they last longer than either of those two brands; though the extra time varies depending on the device.

I don't use batteries frequently enough or in a wide enough range of devices to find rechargeable batteries worth it, though. The cost of the charger offsets the fact that I rarely need more than 2 AA at a time.

Duracell because of the cute bunny.and they last longer than enigizer.....but i can only really afford enigizer because i have to buy in large amounts because my stupis MP3 runs out quickly (prob because it only takes 1 AAA-stupid thing)

Which one is it that is advertised by the stupid battery? I think its Duracell, so therefore I'll go with Energizer, because I really hate those adverts. Thats the only reason behind it. I'm like most people though, in not needing many batteries at all.

I don't really care which brand. Being poor, I tend to buy whatever comes in bulk and is cheapest. Saves wasting valuable petrol going to Tescos you see.

Anyway.yea the bunnies is duracell and the stupid battery (with it jumping into the camera at the wedding) is energiser.
But...i have to agree with NarkAgent, because i buy batteries quite often for my MP3 player i tend to get the cheapest in bulk (e.g. poundlands sooo good!) whether their the rampant bunnies or the not so rampant bunnies :p

Duracell's logo makes them look more powerful and longer-lasting than Energizer. but Panasonic's logo is even better.
