I've never seen a thread properly talking about the fine sport of shooting in all it's many forms. Maybe it's because everyone is scared of guns, or just haven't thought it as a sport (hopefully the latter!). Primarily here we will discuss shotgun (both sporting and skeet), rifle (all calibers, rimfire, etc), air rifle and pistol (all types), possibly even the big hardcore assault rifles the yanks can own and the good (now banned) pistol.
Just chat in general about shooting news (which i will post regularly) and any of the sports related with shooting.
So, to just start off, we all know London is hosting the 2012 Olympics, and of course there are shooting events in it which make use of the handgun/pistol. As you know pistols are banned in the UK, and therefore the British team cannot practise in their own country; as well as the event being illegal!
Do you think this will mean a lift on the ban? I am hoping it will, as i used to own a pistol myself before the ban.
