So here is a handy guide:

de·bate

To consider something; deliberate.
To engage in argument by discussing opposing points.
To engage in a formal discussion or argument.

To contend for in words or arguments; to strive to maintain by reasoning; to dispute; to contest; to discuss; to argue for and against.

SO basically a debate is an organised argument. A point of contention is raised by someone that can then be discussed with pros and cons. In this forum a good starting point would take the form:

statement of fact: Some people like to smoke some people don't.
your point of view: I hate smoking and think it should be banned. these are my reasons why. (give reasons)
call for response: what do you think.

This on the otherhand is just crap:

does anyone in the world like the movie "spy kids" cos i hate it and for some reason there making more of them

they must be making them for somebody

who?
??????????????

i hate spy kids.

Please don't post stuff like that as it really belongs in pap.
