Now, when people mention pie, we all think Mr Weebl and Mr Bob.
However, what is a pie, and what are its uses, this is the task I have undertaken in the next 10 mins while I'm still slightly pissed.
Well, according to the wonder that is Google define and Wikipedia we have the definistion of a pie:
A pie is a baked dish, with a baked shell usually made of pastry that covers or completely contains a filling of meat, fish, vegetables, fruit, cheeses, creams, chocolate, custards, nuts, or other sweet or savoury ingredient. Pies can be either "one-crust," where the filling is placed in a dish and covered with a pastry/potato mash top before baking, or "two-crust," with the filling completely enclosed in the pastry shell. Some pies have only a bottom crust, generally if they have a sweet filling that does not require cooking.

Sweet
Savoury
Tarty
Quichey
Pie top

What can go in our lovely sweet pie, mmmm....?
apple
blueberry
mincemeat
more mincemeat
even more mincemeat

bakewell, stuff
more bakewell stuff
So, we know what it is, what options we have and several sweet sweet fillings.
How to eat?
Well the normal way of eating is out of a metallic dish, but these can be mistaken for a Chinese takeaway (horrible if you were expecting a bakewell).
So we now tend to eat them out of some high-tech holder called 'plastic'.
Looking at the modern day, we have the football pie, this is a special pie with special characteristics, namely the ability to make you shit frequently for the next 3 days.
The tart. To be more precise, the bakewell. The lovely one with the thick icing on'top.
