Hullo there. Me, streety and Dr S have recently been playing pool online. Its great fun. After beating Dr S 6-1, with some great shots on the way, I then thought, "Why not do a forum competition?"

So here we are.

You do have to sign up for an account, but its is so easy and it costs nowt.

The format will depend on the amount of people that show interest. The main concept will be a straight knock-out but if numbers don't fit that, we'll try group then knockout.

I'm putting a personal £500 I'm putting in for the first "7-ball game", where the opponent finishes the game without their other half having potted any.

Rule for FPC frames
* Which player goes where does not matter (as in Home/Away).
* The server of choice should always be Cueniversity as its got plaenty of space.
* Shot time counter should not be any lower than 30 secs, although I reccomend 45.

That would be nice but unless there is a serious lack of interest I wouldn't bother, you don't want it to be so busy it is tough to manage and conversely you don't want to have no entrants, maybe wait another 24 hours and see the level of interest before deciding what to do. (Look at me telling AngryPaul what to do!)

I am happy with the 100 entrance fee but the timer should be lower, say 20 secs. It then takes quick thinking rather than sitting there ages lining up the shot.

I was winning the first three more or less but he just finshed them which was really guttering for me i them refused to give up and we started to play to 7 i won the game making it 3 -1 then in the game after flava took the lead i caught up took over just, then thought i'll line up the black close to the hole since he has two balls left, i then hit the ball knocks the black in then one of his balls :/

I have a question, Assuming 2nd and 3rd tie for points (assuming you do it like a football league points scoring system) then how is it decided who finishes 2nd? Goal difference (Total matches won\lost), previous result against each other (winner of which goes through) or playoff against each other again?
I haven't typed this very clearly so if it doesn't make sense to you say so and I'll have another crack at explaining it.

You lost because i beat you and you lost all confidence, i was rather ashamed of myself loseing to flava just makeing the tiny mistakes but beating angry paul made me work out how to do better becuase i think i could make it through the group i just have to be calm.

Streety beat me 3-0, he absolutely owned me on the first game after I failed to pot on the break and he went on a rip and just missed the black which would have resulted in an embarrassing 7 balling. The second match was tighter and at one point I thought I had him but screwed up a shot by taking too long on it. The 3rd was also tight but Streety was still in control for the majority of it.

it was a very close game and I won on luck more than anything else

streety took the first game, but almost potted the black straight from the break in the second leaving dangerously close to the pocket, and a few goes later he was unfortunate to pot it :p I took the third as well, streety won the fourth, I won the fifth and streety won the sixth making it 3-3. A very close match left me with a chance to pot the black, but it hung agaonisinly over the pocket. Streety quickly pocketed the yellow with no problems and was left to hit the purple in from a tight angle. if he pocked it he would have effectively won. unfortunately, the ball too came agonisingly close to the pocked. this left me with an easy pot for the black, i just had to not pocket the white, and thankfully i managed it
