I made this almost a year ago, and never bothered to actually upload it anywhere. Rather selfish of me I thought, so I fixed it up and put it on the interweb. All this does is turns your Windows XP login screen to one of Weeblistic proportions, with the help of LogonStudio (free) (http://www.stardock.com/products/logonstudio/) . There's a bit of a preview here [113kb] (http://roy.wigginsworld.org/WeeblLogon.jpg ) and the actual item here [119kb] (http://roy.wigginsworld.org/Weebl.logonxp). Hope you enjoy- it's been my login screen for the past six months or so. If you want another version with any particular character, I'll have a go at making one with him/her instead of His Weeblness.

Edit: Here's a version with Chris the Ninja Pirate (http://roy.wigginsworld.org/Chris.logonxp). I'm not going to bother with a screenshot, as it is basically identical to the first one, except with Chris rather than Weebl. Granted, I did trace him rather than draw him by hand, but the alternative would've looked awful :p

You have a screen shot of it or something?

I don't really want to go through to trouble of getting it just to hate it.

Thanks.

Its resonable, and I like the idea of doing a login screen, though it looks a bit grainy...

Glad you like it :D

Yeah, I should have mentioned that- the program that makes them doesn't let you preview it fullscreen, it scales it down and makes it look a bit odd. You can't take screenshots before logging in, as far as I know, so I had to make do with that.

Piratey version coming up :)

Should be a matter of installing the program, downloading the file and double clicking on it in Windows Explorer. The program should pop up with "Weebl" listed under "Available logons". Click apply and it should set it. If the program won't run automagically, just run it from the start menu, under programs and click "load" and find the file.

the program runs but no weebl login screen. There is no loginui.exe file in th folder.

Hrm, what folder are you referring to? The weebl.logonxp file is really just a renamed .zip that the program picks up on automatically. I've seen mentions of a "logonui.exe" in LogonStudio as well, but I don't get what it's talking about. Oh- are you clicking on "import"? That's not what you want- you want "load". That will let you select the .logonxp and use it.

Well, no, it's nothing special, but I didn't draw it in paint. I used flash, actually (because it's really easy to scale vectors big), and if I recall correctly I just traced Weebl, because getting the right curve for his top part is rather difficult. It looks better than the screenshot in actuality, because the screenshot is scaled a bit wierdly- it's not nearly that jagged. Actually, I could make my own mockup of it- I'll do that in a bit.

Can I have some help on actually activating the login screens please? I just downloaded LoginStudio and created a quick test. When I tried to activate it, an error message appeared- error at line 547 or something. Any advice?

Smidge91, when you create/edit the logon screen, goto Logon -> edit Theme.ini, then check whats on line 547

I made my own login screen, not weebl related because I saw this.

Thanks for showing me it ;)

Serves me right for not posting a decent preview. I've fixed it (http://roy.wigginsworld.org/WeeblLogon.jpg) (make sure to view it full-size, browsers tend to shrink pics), now it looks more like what it is- if it still looks low-quality, I'm open to suggestions for improvements.

You're welcome- I like customized logon screens, they usually look rather nicer than the bland one provided with XP.

Oh, and if anyone who downloads it doesn't like my various silly replacement texts, you can easily edit it yourself to show whatever you want.

The error was at line 534, and when I searched for it in theme.ini, it said line number out of range. Help!?
