IMO Gaelic is one of the most horrible sounding languages ever. It sounds like someone is choking, not speaking.

From the bits and pieces I picked up through a course solely on Medieval Irish manuscripts (hence needing to be able to translate both Middle Hiberno-English and a slightly warped Gaelic dialect that occasionally popped up) it didin't seem like such a bad language.

Perhaps just maligned.

I vastly prefer Latin, though. Nothing beats it, though if all my posts were in the language I'd just get really irritating to everyone who suffered through classes (unlike me - I never suffered ;)) :p
