Hey guys, For a while now I've been thinking about getting a graphics tablet to help random arty thingsies and for a longer time I've needed a new mouse. (The mouse I currently use refuses to go right sometimes)

So I ask you, What is the best type of graphics tablet/mouse to buy?

fank ewe.

For graphics tablet, just the bigger and higher detail the better of course, but ive seen combos of tablet/mouse, but the mouse was terrible compared to the tablet, for mouse i suggest one like the logitech MX 500 and up series, im using a 500 now, very easy to use and comfortable. A friend has the 518 which can change sensitivity to make the mouse go slower or faster using buttons on the mouse, which could be useful for drawing things.

I have an mx 510. They are good for FPS and art because they are sensitive and accurate. Although if your paying £30 for one like in some stores I must say this is abit overpriced.

I have a Wacom Graphire 3 4x5. When the mouse is just sitting there on mine the pointer jitters. It doesn't do it on the Graphire 2 or 1's at school. Might just be an issue with mine but it's only sometimes.

It gets the job done for me.

I wrote a review for it up in that place where you review things.

I suggest the Microsoft mice. Reliable, customizable. Odd as it sounds, they made a great device. I am currently using right now a 5 button, 4 direction scroll, laser, wireless mouse. they are simply magnificent.

If you're after a wireless mouse, I would go for a Logitech G7 or MX1000, simply because they are the only mice I know with a battery level indicator and an on/off switch. For a wired mice, any reasonable looking Microsoft or Logitech mouse should do the trick.

Tablet wise, a Wacom Graphire4 Classic seems to be the best to start off with. Good quality for a now too price. Yes they aren't cheap (roughly £70 for an A6 one) but you do get what you pay for. Don't be tempted to buy a cheap one as the accuracy will be far too low for graphics use. An A4 Trust tablet for the price of an A6 Wacom one may look like a brilliant deal, but you will regret it when you try to draw something.

By the way the best mouse in the world won't be anywhere near as nice to use for graphics as a reasonable tablet. You'll find yourself only ever using the tablet for graphics, so unless you're going to be gaming too I would just buy a cheapish mouse and spend the money on a tablet.

I've got a Wacom Sapphire 3 (weird because I can't find it, apparantly it's a Grapphire 3).
It was about 100 euro's I think, and it's very nice

My mouse is a "Logitech Cordless Click!"
I think it wasn't very expensive at all, but it's wonderful; wouldn't want a cordmouse again. Also all the bullshit about "my battery is dead within a month" is bullshit. Just buy good chargable batteries once (1700+ minh)

Microsoft corded mouses are good. My Intellimouse Web 1.0A still rocks. And I looted it from my dad's old place of work.

Sapphire is the color, not the model name.

Also, if you get the Graphire 3, it comes with a mouse.
