Just built a new pc and got an MSI K8N neo F mobo, everything turns on fine but there is no video output from the graphics card. Everythings plugged in, and everything else boots, can anyone shed some light on this, really need help here, quite 'spensive.

Have you plugged the molex into it? Pretty sure that card requires extra power. Also make sure it's seated in the slot properly, my X800 can be a bit dodgy if it isn't pushed in all the way.

as I said, everything is plugged in fine, and eveything boots fine apart from the video outpoot

Hmm only thing I can think of is try resetting the CMOS (put jumper on the reset CMOS pins, boot up, turn off, take jumper off, turn on, sometimes it's the other way round - check mobo manual)

already done that, gonna try a regular PCI card and see what that does

When you say everything boots does the computer proceed to make is POST chirps? Does the fan on the card spin up and stay at full power? I had that problem, turned out to be a duff CPU in the end though.

It does stay on full fan speed, the keyboard does flash so it is booting.

was there initially an onboard graphics card? if there was, check the BIOS and make sure it's set to the card and not onboard. My friend had this problem once...

It's a new custom build
