While baking a couple of cakes, I suddenly got inspired. So I decided to make the following:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v158/adarklingcalledsebastian/Pie/Taart3.jpg

More fan art might follow, but for now this thread focuses on the edible effort I made today.

Not so yummy, this time I decided to butcher a classic for my own selfish reasons:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v158/adarklingcalledsebastian/scan0002.jpg
It's still a work in progress, I am going to work it out further soon, but any tips/criticisms will be apreciated. And yes, that includes bad criticisms, as long as they are constructive, not just "THAT SUCKS!" please.
Pie-X-
17-04-2006, 10:41 AM
weebls floating, and he needs to show some emotion. Thats a great sketch though, touch it up here and there with some more detail and you've got a winner. :)
edit: added a smiley because 90% of my criticisms come out as assholish.
edit: it seems my first paragraph was pasted twice.. somehow
Sebas

No, that is exactly the kind of criticisms I want.
That is helpful, and I'll think about it when I continue wotrking on it.

Following on from Pie-X - Weebl wouldn't look like he was floating if he had a shadow :)
It's very good, overall, just needs a few little additions here and there, and maybe a little shading if you're feeling adventurous - just don't go over the top.
Sebas
17-04-2006, 08:16 PM
Right, taking the tips given into account, this is the final fruit of my labours:

the spider rawks!
The axe going in the door looks lurvly. Hes angry. The door itself is at a sweet perspective.
Its also got everything to let me know its with "the shining". The portrait on the wall is nicely drawn too. Grats.

Sebas
02-05-2006, 09:53 AM
It is, in fact, the cake Bruce Bogtrotter is forced to eat in Matilda, by Roald Dahl. We have a book with loads of Roald Dahl-based recipes, and that is one of them. However, we have slightly improved the recipe, and now we are famous for it at my school :D
Plus, although my family has been making it for a number of years, I was the first to have the idea of decorating it with white chocolate drawings.

How fat are you after eating all these cakes :D
Sebas
11-02-2007, 03:51 PM
Well, most of them are baked for the occasion of parties, so I don't eat all that much myself. In fact, I highly doubt I could eat more than 2 slices, as it's quite overwhelming ;)
Sebas do you sell these cakes...? they look so appealing and attractive i could eat a whole one :D
Sebas
12-02-2007, 03:57 PM
Well, I bake 'em for anyone who's willing to pay for the ingredients, but to be honest, the shipping to UK might present some trouble ;)
yeh.. damn fly over here now please?
How much are they? they look so damn ... droolable?

Usually 3-4 euros per caek, slightly more for the drawings.

There may well be, although I can not promise anything, and yes, most of them know. Biggest hit so far was the Badgers one, it caused a room full of people (Like 30 of the) to spontaneously erupt in the Badger dance and song.
