Freezing Problems

When I'm playing Oblivion the game freezes every 15 mins or so. I've removed all spyware/adware and viruses I could find and removed every single installed game on my pc except Oblivion (and WoW and some others) and still Oblivion freezes.

Can anyone think of a solution for my problem?

You can find all sorts of tweaked .ini files on the interweb.
Try googling.

You can also tweak your .ini file yourself, but it is a shitload of boring work.

edit: Not sure if it helps, but you could always try.
Install a low-end pc one, because I know you, and your pc :D

Oblivion has shit loads of bugs in it. I have it on xbox, and I'm surprised at bethesda for not iron out all the kinks. Lucky buggers on the computer can download patches :nana:

Thats the thing, there would be patches, but microsoft are trying to pull a repeat of the Call of Duty 2 patch fiasco on Oblivion by holding the patches for the PC back so that release of patch on xBox and PC occur at the same time. Go to any CoD2 fan site and you will see a torrent of abuse aimed at IW for this, even when a patch for the xBox was released it took over a month to get it ready for the PC, I can see the same thing happening here, Microsoft trying to put the thumb screws on the dev team to get preferential treatment for the xBox.
