WinXP volume control - help!

Hi guys

For reasons best known to itself, PC #3 here has no volume control in the notifications area next to the clock. Does anyone have any bright ideas on how to bring it back?

Control panel > Sounds and audio devices. Check the "Place volune icon in the task bar" box
