Recently, my computer downloaded it's automatic updates without me giving it permission >:( And there is now a thing that affects most flash and java objects which makes me click on them to make them work. If I hover the mouse over them first it says: "Click to activate and use this control."
This problem isn't the end of the world if It can't be fixed, but it's really irritating, so can someone please tell me a way to stop it?
Thanks :)

There was a javascript fix thing. I'll have a look.
Edit: Apparently it's just for developers to build into their webpage, I'm sure there was a greasemonkey type patch. Oh well.

I should add that when I went to the Internet Explorer help, it told me that I should "allow active content to run in files on My Computer" to let the games/toons to work all the time, but it didn't stop the problem. >:[

Again, that's only for developers, he needs a hack that'll work on existing pages (greasemonkey would do the trick but ah...that's on firefox. Use firefox. Go on.)

This was an ingenious windows update to attempt to stop malicious pages exploiting another gigantic hole in IE security while they come up with a more perma fix. I'll have a look at a way around this tomorrow, though I really would suggest trying a different browser for a time until either someone figures out how to bugger M$' little ploy, they fix the security hole or you decide you like the other browser more, fuck IE :p.
