So last night I shut down my PC as normal with no apprent sign of a problem.

I run windows 2000 and my PC is password protected. I log on as normal but then I get this error message saying my personal files cannot be acessed or reached or something. I click down the error message and it continues to log on. But none of my personal settings such as wallpaper, internet cookies or my documents are there. I still have the computer games and anti virus that are on all the profiles.

This is only my profile; My mum's still works fine. They haven't been deleted from the computer since the hardrive is still just as full.

Any ideas? I obviously have already tried shutting down and restarting but no joy. Also I haven't gotten that error message anymore, now it just ogs me straight on to this empty profile.

Please help

1. Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, and then click Task Manager.
2. On the File menu, click New Task (Run).
3. Type cmd.exe, and then press ENTER.
4. If necessary, change to the %SystemRoot% folder.
5. Rename the Shdocvw.dll file by typing ren shdocvw.dll shdocvw.old.
6. Restart the computer.

This might work, but then again it might not. Found here (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q256194).

Hmmm, I don't think that's it. I don't have a blank desktop, I just can't get the files on my profile.
