Help me get Oblivion to work reasonably (20fps) on my old comp!

Roight, I have Oblivion. Woo. And a godawful computer.

I tried it today; it ran fine 'till the actual game. Started off in the prison, my fps was about 5. It looked pretty...faaar too pretty for my comp, even though everything was turned down.

I'm sure it's trying to use HDR in-game even though i've turned HDR and Bloom off... so, are there any tweaks I can use to able to play the game at a reasonable fps, say 20-25?

Getting a new PC is out of the question...at least for a month or two :(

K, i'll see if that works.

Might not, though...I have all the minimum specs apart from the CPU, which is 1.7GHz instead of 2GHz.

Specs:
512mb RAM, 90mb used by Windows usually
1.7GHz Athlon XP 2000+ (COULD oc it if I could get some more fans from somewhere)
WinFast Geforce FX 5200
