I need help

Well whenever I try to do anything such as connect to the internet, play HL2 etc, pretty much anything it blue screens then restarts.

The message on the blue screen is "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA"
stop: 0x00000050 (0xE5A5A840, 0X00000001, 0X857DA40A, 0X00000002)

It basically means Windows is trying to read something vital from RAM and it isn't there. It could be either bad RAM, or a driver fault.

Googling suggests Norton Antivirus can also cause this problem, though I'm not sure what the solution or particular cause of that is - It be related to dodgy RAM again.

Try running a memtest (http://www.memtest86.com/).

Update any drivers, and boot into safe mode to see if the problem persists - if it doesn't it's gonna be a driver fault most likely.

It may also be a corrupt installation of windows, try running a repair install (http://www.dougknox.com/xp/tips/xp_repair_install.htm)

Thanks lewiji I will try those and see if that works.

Edit: Update I did a memtest and that showed up with many problems.
I tryed a repair install that didnt work because it couldent detect a hardrive and now when I start up it says "missing NTDLR press ctrl-alt-del to restart"

Oh well it's still under warranty so I can get it replaced if need be.

Oh dear, should have mentioned that if you had problems in memtest you shouldn't do the repair install :/ Sorry. Basically one of your RAM sticks has decided to bugger up, the repair install probably failed/corrupted because of this.
