I would have put this in gaming but it's not just about the games.

It's about time we had a pokemon event in the UK! Basicly it's a tour where you can visit major shopping centres and meet other pokemon fans, download unavailable pokemon for the games and tons of other things. Here's where they're going.
Southampton, West Quay
Manchester, Trafford Centre
Newcastle, Metro Centre
London, Lakeside
Cardiff, Capitol
Glasgow, Buchanan Galleries
Milton Keynes, The Centre MK
Birmingham, The Bull Ring
For a bit more info and times, go to the website. I might be going to the Birmingham one if it doesn't get destroyed by chavs on the first day.

Only 10 years? It seems likes it been around much longer.
I collected the first set of cards for a little while but after they released all the stupid Booster packs with like Team Rocket and Dark and whatever I was like fuck this shit.

Yeah there's like a trading card thing there too, but I suck at that. Plus they changed the rules twice which is horrible :(

Rather pokemon than digimon. Though I have to say their PSOne game was very addictive.

How the hell is Lakeside in London?
That's just down the road from me!
Lakeside is FIRMLY in Essex!
I don't intend to be attending, but it looks like I might be by accident - I'm planning to go to lakeside that weekend anyway. Might reschedule to avoid fanboys.
WOO LAKESIDE
I am so there. Need to pick me up a special pokemon for Ruby.

The girl universally acknowledged as the hottest girl in the year brought in a pokemon folder today, so I didn't feel embarrased for shouting "I USED TO HAVE ONE OF THOSE!"
That was fun. Regardless, I'm not going to be going to any of these things.

I'm going to get one of the new ones when I have a DS. Hell, I've owned one from every series so far. I don't care what people say, I find 'em fun, even if they were really formulaic and same same after the first ones.
Ruby and Saph weren't as good as Gold and Silver though, the night and day thing r0x0r'd my b0x0rs. Still, here's hoping the new ones bring it back.
Oh, back to topic, I'd go to Southampton if I could, but I'll likely be working, banding or girlfriending. Ah well.
I lost all pokémon interest after silver, though it waned from the day someone stole my pokémon blue when I had 149 pokémon on it, though I recently made my own card:

I went off the whole pokémon tang after the following two events:
I became obsessed a while back with getting a Charizard. Twas never as fun after I did.
My game got deleted after like completing it. That was a heart rending blow.

I enjoy the games and was once drawn in by the cards,
but I can't really be bothered to go to a convention all about pokemon.
If I went all i'd probably do is buy a plush of an obscure pokemon and get myself a rare pokemon for ruby/leaf green.
Well if there was one in leicester I may have gone.

Bollocks to that tbh. I like Pokemon, as it's awesome. Yes, I do use Mewtwo on Super Smash Bros Melee. And I am from Derbyshire.
