I cut and pasted the other day, and created what I thought was a nice little Weebl and Bob comic strip type image, unfortunately, it was far too big to be submitted here.

I use MS Paint, because thats what I have, I also saved it to a bmp (or whatever the thing is called file) to preserve the quality.

What can I do to make things easier for me?

Oh, and yes I'm very new, well, I been spending the last few days since i joined up to look through the forums, and I like what I see. Also, if this is in the wrong place, feel free to move this...

If this has been asked before could you pass on any links to other threads, I'd appreciate it...

No. BMPs are nice, but far to big. Save it as a JPEG or if possible, a PNG.

...and welcome!:)

Save it as a GIF.

JPG = Good colors, but hideous compression unless YxYxY settings

PNG = Not all browsers can see it. Big File Size. Good transparency. Best colors.

GIF = Mediocre color, dithering is especially good. Small file size.

if you wanted to preserve the quality AND get it shortened in file size, do this:
well this is what i do anyway

1) select the whole picture, and press copy

2)save as gif

3) paste the picture, before it was crapified (bmp-gif transformation)

4)save

it works for me, i only use MS paint too

The above can work well (I use it)

but if you have some sort of webspace then you can atach an image of any size (I think)
