Drum and Bass combined with extreme death metal and / or Australians is good. That much I know, the general stuff I tend not to like... kick, hihat, kick, hihat, twiddly melody, vocal line, repeat... Gets pretty lame after a while.
There is some that I think is cool though, but then it's two sort of peup tracks mixed together that work and sound fantastic. Like if you mix Gabber with Chris De Burgh as a pal of mine at college did once. The lol's never stopped.

Ontopic, while I hardly listen to most commercial dance, I do have some guilty pleasures, namely King Of My Castle by The Wamdue Project. I'm also a sucker for electronic/metal crossovers. Speaking of which, who here is a Shizit (http://shizitmilitia.ogrosticlops.info/) fan?

Here's the thing though. It doesn't. That's my position.
However, after growing up in a house of Trance, I'm not bad in that field.

Here's the thing though. I used to be the same as you, thought it was all cheesey crappo. Believe me I like my music dark and hard. But I got the hardcore bug overnight. Can't explain it... but you don't know what you're missing!!

True, I'm much the same. Look past the continual copies of Bonkers and there's some really good artists.

If you mean hardcore as in TRUE hardcore, yes, I feel that Black Flag are a source of pwnage.
If you mean hardcore as in dance music, well, not only is it an icorrectly labelled genre as it is NOT hardcore at all, beign that Black Flag are the original hardcore band, but I found it to be just faster techno, with little else going for it.
Back to topic... next time anyone hits a set of decks, thry should try mixing odd time metal (i.e. Blood Has Been Shed) over some drum n bass. It's SOOOOOOOOOOO good.
