VGA Boxes

I'm looking to buy a VGA box to plug component cables into and plug the box into a projector. I've been reading a bit up on them but I'm not quite sure still. I read something about a "pass through" to allow you to connect your pc speakers to it. This would be ideal because all else I have is the two crappy speakers built in to the projector and how does it work?

I'm just wondering what the best VGA box you recommend to do this?
