W&B redone!

it just accured to me, that the pronouncing (and the sound quality) is worse than shait in the old, OLD OLD Weebls and bobs.

it was okay, when i started watching wab (like four or five years back) but now that i look at them... it discusts me!
seriously! am i the only one, who thinks they should be redone? or atleast some of them... anyways... -.-

Unlikely that this will happen as it is a fairly major job and I would imagine that Weebl is too busy earning a living and providing us with amazing new cartoons (and of course, spending the ebay money on camels and hookahs in Egypt) to get around to this.

I don't think they should be remade, it would just be a waste of time really.

I think its good that older ones are worse quality because:
a) it shows improvement
b) if they keep getting better, we'll end up with a super mega cool cartoon.

c) I LIKE THE OLD ONES!

Personally I found that very amusingly stupid when I discovered W&B several years ago.

The old ones charm comes from how the "bad" quality compared to other flashtoons that was around during the same time. And the long pauses and everything made it more funny. I would have thought that Weebl and Bob was shit if they hadnt been done the way they are. If every reply wold have come exactly after every line they said the whole point of them would be lost.

And every new toon and animator makes "crappy" versions of the toon in the beginning. And everythings improve and get better made and nice graphics and sound. But the first always have a better idea, a more fresh idea. Just look at Super Mario, I still enjoy playing the old 8-bit games more then the new ones.

Yeah, the focus has shifted from "being fun for looking & sounding crappy" to genuine "being hilarious" by clever and/or stupid jokes.

Well, it was sure fun, but in my opinion it got hilarious somewhere like Cleaner.
Though that is pretty much in the beginning, so it won't make any difference in the end.

I never really liked the old Weebl & Bob episodes. I only used to visit the site for the non W&B toons. I think the energy would be better spent on animating new pieces of genius than on giving less funny stories new animation and voices.

Not true. People often keep making and improving things, they reach the peak, then they go past it to a shit phase. Unfortunately they keep going after that too. Sometimes it improves, but it usually doesn't. I don't think weebl and bob has reached that point yet, and i doubt it ever will either.

Weebl and bob keeps changing so its difficult for it to peak. Oh, the glory of random humour. Also, if Jonti and Skoo decide that there is nothing funny left to make a whole episode out of, they will pack it in and move onto something else.

Its like the Simpsons. I hate the voices and animation of season 1 (and 2 to an extent) but I wouldn't want them to be changed.

yes it quite is. and that is my second project i'm working on. ^^
seriously! they should atleast apologise for the older ones... just not to be rude.

oh and the simpsons have lost it since the mid 90's when it was simply the best. now it's just downhill from here... *sob*

but.

i still like the old Wabs, and i think theyre brillliant.
but...

i still get very pissed off by the dialogues. they are very very very weak!
it isnt that big of a deal! just change the soundtrack behind teh toon!
