Hm...
It's a bold move, to arrest one man in connection with ALL 5. They must have come across some serious evidence. I hope they got him anyway

It would be great if it was him they caught, but I dont think it is him from the fact he only knew 2 of the deceased.

It's certainly interesting to see that this chap spoke to the TV news about it all - they played a short interview clip they got of him, and there's a piece in one of the tabloids by him; and so did one of the victims a few days before she disapeared. Not to draw comparisions, but Ian Huntley did TV interviews too. There's probably a point to make about the role and far-reachingness of the media in high-profile cases like this.
They must have something, but whether he's innocent or not I wouldn't like to say. It's for the courts to decide, and for all we know the police could have a massive stack of proof against him they haven't released.

THEY MUST NEVER KNOW :ninja:
Seriously though, I went into Ipswich on Friday to do some shopping. Bearing in mind it's less than a fortnight to Christmas, it was surprisingly quiet there and as soon as it began to get dark half the people disappeared or were making their way home.
My mother also fretted greatly over me going into Ipswich for the day. I hope she's not trying to imply that I could be a prospective target, given the line of work all current victims pursued. Thanks, mum.
EDIT:

Yeah, but with Mr. Kipling you get six.
he has an unsavoury look about him...saw his pic on one news site

I don't know who Mr. Kipling is but I can tell that that is some serious joke combo.

Yeah, but depending on what the stories are about, the press probably find pictures of the people that suit the story that goes with them. I mean, you could probably find a nice picture of the murderer, if that is in fact him, that makes you think he's a nice bloke. Don't judge a book by its cover etc.
It sounds like he's the guy if the police have arrested him for all 5 murders as has been said, but don't judge people by what the press show of them all the time.
well there are some photos of murdery type people where you can just point blank see that they are sinister/bonkers...charles manson for example.

Well if they have managed to hide any DNA clues then they are pretty smart.

Hi All.
I have to say, having been born and bred in Ipswich (and still living here) that the reports of Ipswich being unusually quiet and that the people here are to scared to leave their homes are complete nonsense. I know that I and most other people that I know are getting seriously annoyed at these kind of statements.
