What is the one (or many) thing that makes Christmas, Christmas?
I know its Christmas when I get to buy Cherries. Cherries are my Christmas food!
I know its Christmas when Santa drives past, on Christmas day at my parents house, on a fire truck throwing lollies to all the kids.
What about everyone else?

I know it's Christmas when I'm in such a great mood and I don't know why.
I know it's Christmas when it's snowing and it brings me joy.
I know it's Christmas when I run out of money.
I know its Christmas when its the 25th of December. And I'm broke.
Grr.

The atmosphere does it for me.
The TV programmes, the lights, the trees, the temperature, the mood...
Everything feels nice. :P
I know it's christmas when I'm playing guitar hero 2 and listening to my iPod.
okay, that one is a bit specific to this year.

I know it's Christmas when I basically spend the entire day in one room only, normally the living room...

I know it is Halloween when Christmas starts.
I know its Christmas when the coca-cola advert comes on. This year it is shit. This year it is not Christmas. Im convinced the Grinch produced the advert this year.

I know it's christmas when the muppets christmas carol is in the tv listings along with the nightmare before christmas, people start mentioning the coke christmas advert and trips into town have to be made a lot earlier to avoid crowds.

I know its Christmas when we finally put up our decorations that dont match. Everyone else we know has colour coordinated decorations that they just bought. Some of ours are older than me :)
I love our decorations.

"Holidays are coming, Holidays are coming, holidays are coming..."
That's how I know it's Christmas. I had to find it on YouTube this year.
"...'tis the season, it's always the real thing...Always Coca-Cola..."

I know it's Christmas when I'm simultaneously annoyed at the amount of people in town getting in my way, and cheered by the Christmas choirs and bands and such nearby.

Are you sure you aren't my brother masquerading as a Canadian diamond expert?
For me, I know it's Christmas when I'm stone broke and trapped in the house with all my family, clawing at the window to be released.
I don't like Christmas much.

I know it's Christmas because the people on TV tell me. Otherwise, I WOULD HAVE NO IDEA WHATSOEVER
When I have a snowball fight, but with wrapping paper.
when I watch 'its a wonderful life' ...christmas dinner.... seeing the lights on peoples trees and downtown...
the presents and stuff used to mean more to me than they do now.

I know it's Christmas when it's 3AM and I'm lying in bed, waiting for the presents to be left at the foot of the bed, and wondering how early I can get up to open them. It's developed into a kind of family tradition.
I know it's Christmas when im at cousin's house, lying on a tiny couch, praying to go home. My Christmas Eve always sucks.
Also, I seem to hear random people humming Christmas tunes.

I know its Christmas when my sisters demand that I feel my presents and guess what they are.

All the silly adverts make me feel Christmassy. If it weren't for them I wouldn't feel so, probably. I am too influenced by TV. :)
