View Full Version : Who's better Master Cheif or Solid Snake?

I know that not many people think about this, but two soliders at the top of there leagues one in the future the other in the present day with a alternate timeline. I know that Cheif has advantages over protection but Snake is the ultimate solider. If Cheif had no suit then he would be an equal to Snake. But this is about coolness, strength, weaknesses, storyline and what they can do.

I want no swearing or disrespecting the other person just tell everyone who is better and why.

If Cheif had no suit then he would be an equal to Snake.Doesn't that basically answer the question?

However, on a more serious note, I would win.

I wasn't totally aware of who Master Cheif was, so I googled it, and this guy came out:

I reckon Snake could take him on. He looks pretty crazy though, he might flail about with a fishing rod or something...

I just completed Phoenix Wright 2.

Now I pine for more OBJECTION-based shenanigans.

I am so desperate I have started to play through the first game again...in French.

He's from the Metal Gear series.

Solid Snake vs. Sam Fisher is a much more appropriate comparison because they both sneak around muttering cool things in deep voices.

They should make adverts where they hold up guards and ask for Strepsils.

"SNAKE?"

"WHAT, WHAT IS IT?"

I liked the story and characters in MGS2 (haven't finished it yet, maybe half way through) but the gameplay was just too old fasioned to put up with. I found the same thing with MGS, although I was more prepared to put up with it because it was the olden days and games had crap controls then. I hear MGS3 sorts a lot of the problems out but I don't have a PS2 to play it on, sadly.

I have the feeling most Splinter Cell fans will find MGS1/2 a pretty horrible experience (and maybe vice versa) because it feels so different.

That is actually 100% true, I love mgs and hate splinter cell and my friend Shane hates mgs and loves splinter cell.

How did you play MGS2 then?

I agree, although they are compared a lot, they are two very different games. It's like comparing WoW to Neverwinter Nights - same genre but completely different way of doing things. MGS has a lot more anime style in both the graphics and story ideas, which gives it a style of its own. Its halfway between an action game and an RPG. Splinter Cell is much more of an action game, and the story reads more like a Tom Clancy novel (duuuh) than any anime style involving massive robots and ninjas.
But they are both damn good games in their own right.

MGS2 Substance came out on Xbox as well. I don't think it was promoted very much and it sold badly, so you certainly aren't the only person who didn't know about it :)
