I'm absolutely gutted: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6208615.stm :( :(
I thought he was immortal but at least he will live on in the music, and it was real music, that he has left behind.
RIP James Brown

:( such a beast :(
I saw him live as the support act for RHCP in 2004 and he was fantastic, he was a real showman.
Rest in peace James :(
I saw this then went and told the older members of my family, they were all ":(" like me.
The younger ones were all "Who?".
Now I feel sad for two reasons :(.

R.I.P. to a true legend.
I only got to see him live once (with RHCP) but he was utterly fantastic.

He should've been the Funky President. (Of the US). Now that would've been interesting.

It's a damn shame, the man was, and still is, a legend.
The first I heard of this was as soon as I woke up to my radio alarm, was the first thing I heard this morning, not the most pleasent start to my day.

I got up this morning and my brother said to me 'John, James Brown's dead.' And I said 'Yeah, course he is' I never believe anything he ever says because he steals food in the middle of the night, lies (crappily) and pisses in the bedroom, (he's 11) so I didn't believe him, but I went into Jacksons and on the front cover of The Sun, it said 'RIP James Brown' or something along the lines of that. Anyway, I won't bore you with my reaction from there on, but, RIP James Brown, you will be sorely missed.
