Yeah bad religion. Especially "No Control" my personal favorite album by them and one I should really buy.
But more importantly: No use for a name, Strung Out, and Shop 11 Phoenix. Probably the three best skate/post-hardcore punk out there, ANYWHERE.
hey inflames, do you like in flames? They are pretty good. "Cloud Connected" is a superb track.

Reel Big Fish are boring
Try some 2tone ska like madness and the specials, and some punk like the clash and the adverts, and why not some post hardcore like minor threat and fugazi?
bad religion are pretty coo tho

oi! i don't mind if you don't like Reel Big Fish.... but lets not get silly... do not put them with the likes of Good Chalotte!... Good Chalotte goes with the Sum 41, New Found Glory crowd...

Good point sloth, there is a slight difference between a ska band who has released many many albums over the past years and an up and coming crap pop punk outfit...let's not get confused

Good charlotte are not good, for one thing they can't play or sing live and they became too poppy.
Less than jake are good. They aren't exactly popular are they, i like their ska and get confused why people call them and other bands punk-ska, thay aren't.
The best ska bands are english because that is where modern ska is from. Don't argue.

yeah you have a point there good charlotte does suck live, I've seen them on tv...luckily for me I will never have to be in the audience when they are playing...evanescence suck live too, but that's unlrelated. Yeah my knowledgable friend says less than jake is "third-wave-ska" that doesn't include the word punk so I'm sure it's accurate.

well. personally, i kinda agree with beef magic. goodcharlotte, blink 182, and them are all posers, trying to be actual punk. but they they and fail. all the little teenage girls are like "yeah! good charlotte are SO punk!" "rock on!" and whenever i see anyone do that, i tell them off. heh heh heh. tis fun. but i guess some people have different tastes, and actually think that good charlotte is punk. hmm. in my humble opinion, they are wankers.

Well, I didn't really get intersted in punk until I moved to California. I didn't really listen to music much back when I lived in New York altogether. But yeah, I like punk. By punk I mean stuff like NOFx/Bad Religion/The Clash. Not GC or Avril or Simple Plan. I'm sick and tired of all those people at school/the net all going "omg gc/avril/simple plan are so punk rawk they r so kewl like omg wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11"
I actually don't listen to much ska.:o I like The Mighty Mighty and Goldfinger, but that's it...

We should start a cult or something. And you know Goldfinger was really cool when they were more ska but their new cd (from what I've heard) isn't so much ska. Although "open your eyes" is a great song.

Lets get one thing straight. I will gladly listen to Good Charlotte, Blink 182, Sum 41, New Found Glory and all of that. They are NOT proper punk, I realise this, but they still have some catchy, listenable stuff. I like them.
*Puts waste Paper bin on head to deflect the oncoming barrage of insults and/or projectiles*
But I do also like bands like Bad Religion, Pulley, Good Riddance, Strung Out (though their older stuff is better), No Use For A Name, and NOFX (NOFX however, have gotten a little crappy in recent years. Give me "So long and thanks for all the shoes" over "War on errorism" any day)
