View Full Version : I found a cat

I was at this new year's eve party up the road. One of the boring neighborhood ones. People were talking about how this one lady who has some cats went to equador or something and left a cat outside. So as I walked home I heard a "meow" and I thought OH DEER.
And the cat followed me home. Not sure what to do so I put out a saucer of water and a can of tuna in a bowl. It's been eating. So far so good.
Except some of the neighbors up the street have supposedly been feeding it and stuff and now they'll think it's gone. Oh wells, it's not theirs anyway.
It ate almost the whole can of tuna:)

I dunno what to do. Help.

Would have pics/vids but the cameras aren't workig properly.
(Yes, why that is the reason the new rabbits thing is not doing so well at the moment)

cat + rabbits = trouble.

The cat's not inside.

I just moved him/her to the covered side porch because it was raining and moved the food & water there and put out a nice towel.

My fat rabbit used to bully the hell out of my cats :p.

I did about what you did once... except the cat definitely belonged to someone and I was very drunk... nothing like waking up to find a strange cat staring at you. Needless to say, I put it back where I found it and have since seen it out and about perfectly alright. Moral of the story: stealing cats makes for a good laugh.

Cat ran away.
Fireworks.

Oh no. My oldest cat, 10, has epilepsy (sp?), so my mam gave her 1/4 of a Valium tablet just before midnight and she started shaking, so my mam picked her up and held her, and at midnight, when the fireworks went off, the cat pissed all over my mam, as she lost control of her bladder.

It's in the next yard over now, probably rabbit-hunting.
what can you feed a cat?

Scratch it to see if it's a real diamond! Take a picture so HeavyT can give you the benefit of his advice!

oh wait, wrong thread.

It sounds like the cat's been doing fine on it's own, in all honesty. Keep giving it food if you want. There's not a lot you can do til the owner gets back, I think.

Keep giving it tuna, tuna, tuna and tuna.

Some stereotypes are true.

yes, my cat Ziggy mostly lives off tuna and chicken, because he's a fussy, spoilt bastard. The vet also gave him tuna, coincidentally, when he was sick.

Otherwise go out and get cat-food. It's pretty cheap, and better in the long run (less salt)

Are you going to adopt the cat? If so, make sure you get him/her checked out at the vet

Cream too.

Cats love cream.

Here is proof.

The black cat is trying to push the ginger cat away from the bowl. Quickly! Threaten it with neutering!

A few months ago two cats "settled" in my garden. Not long after we had 12 kittens (or thereabouts) in our garden. One by one they buggered off leaving us with the runt and 3 others that stay for food. With my brother's cat we now have 5 cats, which isn't a good thing :P

EDIT: That ginger cat is racist.

ALREADY DONE.

The ginger cat has balls though, but he's only little.

This could be veering offtopic slightly, but I might aswell ask. Roughly how much does it cost to neuter a female cat?

Garry3
01-01-2007, 05:02 PM
This vet will do it for £47. . .

It would be so funny if a mod moved that post into a completely unrelated topic. Like the saddam one, or something.

my fat rabbit chased my cat up a tree. then sat at the bottom for hours and kicked the tree, my cat was scared.

cats like tumble driers. my cat had its bed on the tumble drier and used to sit on it and purr. true story.

cats + rabbits = trouble

cats + tumble driers = purrz

Cats = cream fanz

By simple logic we can deduce that

cats = trouble - rabbits

=> trouble - rabbits + tumble driers = purrz

also rabbits = trouble - cats

=> trouble - trouble - cats + tumble driers = purrz

=> cats + tumble driers = purrz.

wait. shit we knew that. um QED

hang on i can do this

cats = rabbits - trouble

cats = purrz - tumble driers

=> rabbits - trouble = purrz - tumble driers

=> rabbits = purrz - tumble driers + purrz

=> rabbits = cream fanz + purrz

p.s. i 100% was expecting some great revelation from that maths. darn it

All our cats, except the oldest sleep on top of either the fish tank or the fridge. Usually the fridge.

Lozzie Stardust
01-01-2007, 06:10 PM
That might be instinct, as the hum of the filter/fridge might sound like purring?

Also, I thought that cats were Lactose Intolerant, or is my uncle just being conned to buy specialist milk from the vets?

Kanden

I feed all of the feral cats in my garden milk, they can't get enough of it. Does give them the shits, however.

Cat in the Hat FTW!

On Topic-ish...

I'm sure its in most cats, plus the post by Kanden makes me think that it's true of most cats, the two bob bits is one of the main symptoms of lactose intolerance.

cats likes milk, but milk doesn't like most cats lol.

However if you hate your neigbours, go for it, it will be rather amusing when they find it ;) but don't blame me if they get mad :P

Kanden

I'd find it more annoying if they fed my cats rice...

Cow's milk is a poor source of taurine and adult cats are generally lactose intolerant.
You're right, most cats are lactose intolerant.

my family's temporary neighbours (they're renting on a week by week basis, illegal in victoria tbbh) have a bunch of dogs, and a tiny little kitten they have a habit of locking out all night in the cold. it's cute, but fearless and kind of a jerk toward our cats because it lives with several dogs (one's a pitbull) and its owner is an abusive lowlife may-be-drug-dealer (we've had cops next door looking for him, and his girlfriend covering for the fact that he's hiding in his van).

I found a cat once in similar circumstances.
I was going to transform it into my evil minion, but then I decided to give it to the RSPCA.

My evil plans never go too well. I'm not evil enough.
I even put up little posters round the area explaining that I had the cat.

it doesn't at alll get along with my family's two cats, as far as i can tell.

if i can figure out how to sneak it back to vancouver, though, i'll be doing that on wednesday when I head back. :p

Oh this reminds me of when I found a kitten, poor little thing all alone on the street, so what would the sane person have done? Picked it up and put it in her school jacket for at least an hour until someone came by and offered to take it in.

Sneaking it back sounds good, just make sure you don't abandon it.

it kept getting into all sorts of trouble in our garden, it got stuck up a tree once, so we walked off and waited, and it got down.
once it tried to pounce us to, lol.

I have 3 cats, one of them being 16/17 years old.
My parents found her walking around the street of our old village, turns out
she was a stray so we kept her.

It's a shame she has a habbit of leaving puddles around the house,
I've had my N64 and Gamecube contaminated by her, she better not have a wee on my Wii. :mad:
