Who can complete the most games is a year?

Here’s a little challenge for all of you here in Gaming, who can complete the most games in a year? It’s the start of a new year so it won’t be too hard to determine when the year is over.
It doesn’t matter what game it is, what console it’s for, how long it took to complete – but we will be more impressed if you win and play nothing but long RPG’s :D. But I guess I won’t win because the only games I usually play are RPG’s.
The winner can have some kind of thing in their sig saying something like ‘Most games completed in one year’, you get the idea.

A good idea would be to make a spreadsheet and then add a new game into it after you complete it. I think it would also be nice if you say if you 100% did it or only did the main story; you don’t get any extra points though.
Another idea could be to use word and separate the section with /’s or –‘s.
For example:
Kingdom Hearts – Did everything apart from defeating Sephiroth – Level 99.

That is a lie and I am not level 99 :D.

I won't be completing Rayman for a while. The PS2 controls are pretty well done, but my god they're tricky at times. Moving both analogue sticks up and down, opposite to each other, at the same time? Thumbs were not meant for such feats.

Can we just get out Pokemon Snap, Yoshi Story, Super Smash Bros etc and finish them in the <1 hour it takes? Apart from that, I'm not gonna win this; I've got three unfinished games right now (Zelda TP, Phoenix Wright AA, and GT Pro) but I haven't got that many games I'm gunna buy in 07. Only things I can see looking especially sexy are SSBB, Metroid, Zelda phantom Hourglass, and Super Mario Galaxy, even though probably that won't come out till '08.

Pfft, just think how lucky you are that you don't have to do some of those with the Wii Remote.

It's probably about half and half for control difficulty; dancing is a piece of cake; swinging and tossing the cow is a nightmare of flailing thumbs. Tracing around objects is obviously far more motion sensor friendly.

This year I've completed Half Life 2, Kingdom Hearts 2 and Lego Star Wars 2. But then I had quite a head start on each of them.

Splush how long did it take you to complete Gears of War?
I just turned it on to see if it says on my save file, but it doesn't. It's pretty short though, like maybe 6 or 7 hours if you don't waste much time. Definitely worth replaying in co-op and at harder skill levels, though.

I love it, but I'm getting more mileage out of online multiplayer than the single player/coop story, which is the opposite of what I expected from it.

Developers finally realised that people like co-op, I suppose. Although Splinter Cell Chaos Theory had a really brilliant co-op campaign that they neglected to put into the 360 release of Splinter Cell Double Agent, which I'm still bitter about. Playing co-op online having to whisper through the headset because your voice level can attract guards in the game is awesome.

Yeah, the 360 version of DA is apparently quite different to the xbox/ps2/cube version, dunno about the PC version. The older gen versions have the proper co-op campaigns and the adversarial multiplayer is spies vs spies rather than the classic spies vs merchs. The 360 version had no proper co-op campaign but it has co-op missions which are basically the adversarial (3v3 spies vs mechs) multiplayer with bots. I think the single player is pretty much the same thing across the platforms, except the shanghai level is 360 exclusive because it's so huge. It's pretty stupid, Ubisoft have been doing it with a lot of games and it just confuses everybody and risks alienating customers.

Are you talking about Gears of War? If so I'd say it's definitely worth it, but some people aren't into it so much. I don't like paying for online play in general but I can put up with it if it's £40 a year.

This awesomely shite humour raises a good point: what does complete actually mean?

I personally wouldn't call a Tony Hawk's game complete until the game has been cleared, 100%'d with all the characters etc etc etc. I wouldn't call Final Fantasy complete until you've sweeped through the side quests and nailed every rare item.

I know it's arsy, but sometimes just caning it through a game to kill the final boss leaves with much still to be played...
